What to do with a gambler (link)

my mom had the same issues and it started getting bad so we made her get therapy at a local health centre. the therapy was only for one week and included her meeting up with other people like her who had the same addictions. the trick is you need to get to the root cause; why does he/she REALLY gamble? you can;t just try and make someone stop gambling, because there is an unresolved emotion behind it which will still be there, and it will end up resulting in another form of addiction, even if that is food or the shopping. the best advice i can give you is to try and seek help from an out source who knows what they are doing and have dealt with people like that before. they will know how to truly heal them. there are many sites on the internet that will help, i'm sure you know how to use google so just search for therapy centers near you or ask your doctor next time you see them.
