~A little Advice for the broken hearts~
You are afraid and hurt and you dont know what to do. You feel empty and alone, like the whole world has just ended. You have a hole in your heart one that feels like it can never be repaired, but just know that in time that hole will be gone. Getting your heart broken is like getting a deep cut. It hurts really bad, and no matter what you do you cant stop thinking about it because you know its there and its hurting, but with a few stitches and a little tlc (friends and family helping you through) and some antibiotic ointment (ice cream) soon that cut will only be a scar (a memory) it will always be there but it wont hurt anymore, you are strong and you can make it through this!!

advice

I am in a rut. I am going to be a senior in high school, female. I am in the marching band. Back from my 7th grade year to my, I guess 9th grade year, I have had a music mentor. He was my teacher but he's helped me grow as a person and as a musician that I classify him as my music mentor. This guy was a great guy, he was lenient but I learned a lot from him. Now, I am going on a trip with the music classes my senior year, the choirs, orchestra, band and color guard. I am just skeptical as to what is going to happen because, more than half of the band thinks that I am secretly dating this teacher. To many people think that we are now, so much to the point that I can't even bring him up to my mother without her questioning it. I would like to list a few things and maybe you could tell me what you think of the situation?

-he notices small changes in me, such as styling my hair a different way
-he always let me have my phone out during the school day
-he used to ask me what songs to play with the band
-back when I still had him, he would sit with me at lunch until my friends came but then would quick walk away because he knew what my friends thought about us
-we talk about his life outside of teaching
-he allows me to call him by his first name
-he watches in on the sr high band and sometimes substitutes when our teacher is out and he always looks at me
-i went to one of the jr high band concerts to see how they play and how well they are doing and when he got before the crowd to speak, he got nervous and he found me in the dark crowd and looked at me when he talked and he seemed calmer
-one time when I was visiting him, jazz band practice was going on, it was over and everyone was leaving so he went into his office to do paperwork, I guess he didn't know I was still there so when he was walking out to his car, he saw me and asked if I needed a ride home
-I was showing him a picture on my phone and when he went to take my phone out of my hand, he touched my hand and kept it there for a while
-a teacher had made him snacks one day and after school on my walk home I stopped in to say hello and he offered me some of the snack and we ate together

What do you think and what should I do on my trip?
Thank you so much, you are awesome at giving advice to my other questions which is why I asked you (:

Sometimes teachers pick a favorite student and to be this seems like what he is doing... you are nice to him, and he seems to have a good friendship which is okay... As long as you are not seeing him outside of school I dont think your friendship is inapproprate at all.... I had a teacher friend too... but mine was a girl.. so people didnt start nasty rumors like that.... as long as he is not comming on to you and like flirting with you its fine he is just a friend... as for your trip dont let the other students stop you from having fun go on your trip and have a blast... they are just angry because they cant be the favorite student :) good luck and have fun and congrats making it through school
