I agree with the post below me, If you don't know this person well then don't tell him.
Someone who would flat out ask "Hey! do you masturbate?" when you hardly know then is not only a complete pervert but is obviously rude as hell.
If you do know this person and have for a good long time and you feel comfortable with sharing this information then I guess I would say go for it...
