My ex had given me a promise ring two years ago and I had just recently found it. It's gorgeous (he did have a lot of money) and I like to wear it alot. However, I have a new boyfriend and we've been going out for almost a year now. The ring has no sentimental value to me once so ever. I just think it's pretty. Is it wrong to wear it now that I have a new boyfriend?

Please give me your opinion. Thanks :D (link)

Personally when a guy gives you a ring and you are not together anymore the right thing is to actually return the ring to the person who originally bought it which would be your ex. Despite whether he has money or not it's the right thing to do.

I would NOT wear the ring, Why? because was clearly given to you as a promise ring from your ex boyfriend. It's almost as bad as dating someone who has gone through a divorced but yet they still want to wear their ring from the marriage because "it's pretty" It's not acceptable and it's not appropriate. Yes, also I would at least tell your boyfriend where it came from and what it was originally given to you as if he is okay with it then I guess you could wear it.

Trust me I tried giving it back but he wouldn't take it. And i've only worn it once..I'm clearly aware of my actions and your choice of words are a bit rude in themselves.
