K so i have been dieting for like 3 months and have lost no weight and then after 2 months i realized just dieting wasnt going to work so i started exercising for 20-30mins a day early morning too plus a diet where im eating an egg sandwhich with green tea for breakfast then for lunch i have whole wheat cheerios with a bowl of grapes and for dinner a plain baked potatoe or weight control oatmeal and then i walk my dog and then by 10pm im in bed and ive been doing this for 2 weeks and havent seen any difference on the scale but ive seen a little difference in appearance but i want my weight to go down and it just wont why is it not working. BTW because i cant leave the house early morning by myself i run up and down the stairs in my house for about 20-30mins for 6 days a week.
There are a few reasons you're not losing weight.
1. you need to eat wayyyy more food than you have listed. 1200 calories is the minimum.
2. Eat more proteins. Proteins build muscle and muscle burns more calories than fat.
3. Forget the potato. It's a bunch of starch and carbs. A sweet potato has so many vitamins and it is better for weightloss.
4. Try to eat about 5 or 6 meals a day. Eat them within 2-3 hours of each other if possible! (This bosts your metabolism!)
5. Drink 64 ounces of water. Unless you actually like the green tea, stop drinking it. It takes more than one glass of it to make a difference in your weightloss.
6. Your mealplan sounds very temporary. Don't deprive yourself! Choose foods that you will eat even once you're at your target weight!
