16/f. My boyfriend IS my best friend. I love him so much. We've been together almost a year now. And we see each other almost everyday. But I'm starting to think maybe he's not the one for me. I've met alot of nice guys but I can't date any of them because of my boyfriend. He was my first real boyfriend. I don't want to leave him because he'll think I don't love him, but I REALLY do. It's not a lust love or anything, it's real, we care about each other, we can just lay there and be happy, we never run out of things to say, we can make anything fun, I love him so much. He always makes me feel loved. Anyway haha, I am really curious, I would like to know what it's like to date another guy. But if I do this...he probably won't take me back. And I can't stand losing him. But how do I know if he's really that great if I don't try to date someone other than him? Goshh..
I know exactly what you mean. I'm 18 and I have been with my boyfriend for over 2 years. He is my first true love, and I feel like we have been through alot together, I mean we've taken 2 breaks, but we are still together. Sometimes I feel the same way, like maybe there is someone out there who would be better for me. I have tons of guy friends that flirt with me, but I love my boyfriend.
Lots of people will tell you that you are still young and don't know what love is, but I believe you because I've been there. I also think that there is still a lot of time before you have to think about the person you will spend the rest of your life with. After all who knows what will happen down the line, maybe you'll decide he really isn't what you want.
If you are happy in your relationship right now, then let it be. If you aren't maybe its time to take a break and think about how you feel. Sometimes taking a break is the best thing you can do for a relationship.
