im dating a jerk, but ive known another guy in my school for about forever now, and i think i am starting to like him. i told him last night that i think i rlly do like him. because we always joke around about liking each other. things arent weird today in school.. but im still clueless on if i should follow through. lets call him jay he is a senior at my school, he is friendly, cute, jokester, amazingly funny, and the sweetest guy you could ever meet. But the catch is.. him and my best friend Bree were together a while ago they werent dating but they kissed and stuff. i dont think she would be mad at me yet im not so sure.. any advice would be lovellyyy

First things first: Get rid of the "jerk" boyfriend. He's just going to hold you down, and if you know it's not going anywhere, then you might as well end it and save some happiness for a new boyfriend who treats you better.

Second..one the break up is over, ask you friend. Don't make it seem like you're asking for permission, you don't need it. Just say that you like Jay, and you don't want to make her upset by dating him.

Once your debt is settled, go for this guy who sounds wonderful. Be happy. =)
