advice

hey

this september, i'm going to be going into high school. i have a few questions. - you don't have to answer all of them; even if you can answer one, i'd be greatly appreciative.

1.) what's the FASTEST way to learn the map of my school? - besides getting a map & memorizing it

2.) how do i not become nervous the first few weeks when i'm getting accustomed? [like when i get lost, etc.]

3.) any tips on how to survive at least freshman year?

thanks so much, kidss.

I'd start off with just trying to figure out how to get to your classes. Ask your friends, or just figure out how to get to your first period class, then ask that teacher how to get to your next class. Ask the upperclassmen if you'd like-you can pretty much tell who would lie to you and who wouldn't. After you figure that out [which will take about a week, if that], you can figure out the rest of the school. You also might be able to go to the school a week or so before school starts, and just walk around. My school has signs, so I never really got lost. Maybe your school does too.

Just relax. It shouldn't be that nerve raking. It's not really that big of a deal. When you get lost, don't go crazy. Ask someone around you. Teachers are lenient if you're late for the first week or so.

Freshmen year is not bad at all. It's actually pretty fun. It's a new start, and you get to meet a ton of new people. Just make small talk with people sitting around you. I made a few of my good friends just from making small talk in my history class. Join a club or sport.

There's nothing to worry about. The upperclassmen aren't going to kill you or anything. You'll survive. :)
