Hey My name's gen. :] My goal in life is not to have an average of a 5 rating all the time.
I'm an overrall nice person, but when it comes to advice, I will be blunt if necessary. I will be harsh if necessary. Just because I can't stand being mean to someone but the fact that I don't know who you are, I can be mean with the answer if I want to. :)

my guy friend has a girlfriend. and i hate her with every bit of feeling i have left in my gut. as much as i would love to curse her out, pull her hair and yell at her, telling how much i hate her and how she's taking him away from me and how she's a fake b****, i don't. instead, i try to, as convincingly as possible, be nice. it's fake. but if i say something to her, he himself will hate me.
am i doing the right thing? (link)

You're doing the right thing, in a sense. From containing yourself from strangling her throat, yes. =] Being humane and civilized is good enough, lol. But you shouldn't fake how you feel about her either. Isn't everyone who always says, "Be yourself//Dont be afraid to say how you feel about something"? Your friend has to accept the fact that you DON'T LIKE HIS GIRLFRIEND. As long as you're not all, "Break up with the bitch or we're not friends" to him, he shouldn't hate either. Just as you at least RESPECT his girlfriend, he should respect your thoughts.
