What does it mean if your throw up after running a mile or more? Is it something bad or is that normal under some circumstances?

Thanks.

Do you constantly throw up after every mile?

If you don't usually run and just threw up once after you ran a mile for the first time in a while, then everyone else's answers are wrong. The most obvious explanation is that you're out of shape so when you do strenuous activity your body responds by vomiting. It's not a bad thing though, just keep running those miles every other day and you should stop throwing up soon. Unless, if you are seriously overweight or underweight, i'd say you should stop throwing up by the end of the first week. Also pace yourself when running

if you continue throwing up, stop running immediately and see a doctor. Don't drink milk or any other dairy products before running. In fact, don't eat anything heavy 1 hour prior to running.
