okay so im going to a bat mitzfah. and i have a few questions.
1. Is it formal? Semi-formal? i have a nice dress, one i wore to the school dance, is tht good you think? it was very nice, black & white with flowers and some lace.
2. What kind of present do you give the person? like a gift card or something?
3. Should I do my hair all nice and ware makeup too?

its probably formal.most bat mitzvahs are.
that dress you wore to the dance sounds fine.. just make sure you have something to cover your shoulders..[[in some temples its liike disrespectful to have you shoulders showing]]
so just have like a tiny cute jacket or something that matches your dress.
usually you give the person money..so if you do make it a multiple of 18.
yeah you should do something cute with your hair like curl it or something and you should wear make up since there is probly a party after the service and its a special occasion.
