about

I am 48 years old (yes that's old compared to some of you).

I have worked in nursing and/or healthcare management positions for 24 years. Primarily OB, Neonatal, Mental Health, Occupational Health and Geriatrics. In Jan 2008 I started my own business to board horses and do equine/human education. I am also a certified dog trainer.

I've been around the block so to speak and seem to be always helping others. I've been told that the reason people seek me out for advice is that I am approachable and caring. But on the same token even though I consider the person's feelings. I tell it like I see it. I've dealt with people in trouble with the law, dysfunctional families such as those with abuse & marriage problems. Not to mention problems with employees and employers.

I don't ever claim to know it all, and always keep an open mind.

advice

One of my molars Are chipping & it has a hole like right in the middle and another hole right next to that one.

I brush my teeth about 3-4 times a day.

Is this something i should go to a dentist for?
And do they pull teeth for situations like this. because i broke a diff tooth ( it didnt look like this one does) a few years ago with my toothbrush & he had to pull it.

If you need to know im 17 f

Yes, this is something you should go to the dentist for, and you shouldn't wait. If the hole in your tooth hasn't allowed decay or bacteria into the root, the tooth should be able to be repaired with a filling. If you wait, and it continues to get deeper, a root canal and a crown may be needed. You don't want to end up with an infection of the root, because this will affect the nerve in the tooth and cause extreme pain. In addition, people have been seriously ill, and even died from an abscessed tooth!

The dentist will probably talk to you about prevention, but you may want to ask him about brushing techniques. If you brush too often and too hard--you could be ruining the enamal on your teeth which will cause them to be more fragile than normal.
