about

I have worked in nursing and/or healthcare management positions for 24 years. Primarily OB, Neonatal, Mental Health, Occupational Health and Geriatrics. In Jan 2008 I started my own business to board horses and do equine/human education. I am also a certified dog trainer.
I've been around the block so to speak and seem to be always helping others. I've been told that the reason people seek me out for advice is that I am approachable and caring. But on the same token even though I consider the person's feelings. I tell it like I see it. I've dealt with people in trouble with the law, dysfunctional families such as those with abuse & marriage problems. Not to mention problems with employees and employers.
I don't ever claim to know it all, and always keep an open mind.
advice
Hey everybody. Well, I'm 14/f and African American (if that's of any help). I have like these scabs on my legs, and I really want to get rid of them, but everything that I've tried had failed. I really don't feel comfortable showing off my legs, but they're in really good shape and they look nice, and I really do want to show them. If anybody knows of any creams, etc. that help with scabs, discoloration of skin, or scars, and that can get my skin clear in the quickest time, I would really appreciate that! Thank you soooo much!
The question is, why do you have the scabs? Is it from shaving and ingrown hairs? Are they itchy? Your best bet is to see a dermatologist to get medicine that will clear them up quicker. Don't use hydrocortisone or other steroid creams, or hydroclorquin..which can lighten black skin. If you don't want to see the doc, you could try a newer cream called calmoseptic, I have seen pretty good results from that.
