I asked this guy out on the last day of school. He said he would think about it and to call him in the morning. I call him his phones off so i just leave a message saying call me back. He never called me back so i asked him about it and he said im still not sure. So i asked my sister to ask him and he told her he likes me alot but hes starting his freshman year and he wants to be "free" plus he feels bad cus he turned down alot of girls on the last day of school. He wont call me now and he keeps tellin my friends hes not gonna answer me now cus hes made me wait to long. and Ya I relize he doesnt like me (i think) but now its awkward for us to hangout even just as friends. PLus my friends wont stop bugging him no matter what I say. Help!! (link)

from what you've written, it sounds like this guy is quite the ladys man lol. well if he really liked you alot, he would have said yes. I can understand that he wants to be single for his freshman year, but if he really liked you alot he wouldn't care about being single, he'd just want to be with you, but thats just my opinion.
To make being friends with him less awkward, you should try going out in a big group with your friends, and his friends, that way its not just you two alone, but you can still talk and then build a friendship from there.
Your friends bugging him is probably annoying him, so you need to talk to your friends and tell them you are over him (even if you're not) that way they won't bug him about you liking him and everything. If you're friends don't listen to you, then i'm not sure what you can do.
