about

Hey everyone! My name is Kristen, I'm 20 and I'm a college junior studying pharmacy. I've been blessed with a really good life, and part of the reason for that is because I've learned to see GOOD in everything that happens to me.

I love giving advice, and I've been told that I do a good job at it, but I'll let you decide! Feel free to ask me anything... don't be shy, that's why I'm here. I've been through a lot... moving from one country to another, leaving and finding new friends, break ups, boys, middle school, high school, college, self esteem issues... pretty much most things that people need help with.

I usually spend a good amount of time answering your questions, so I would really appreciate it if you leave me an honest rating along with some feedback (good or bad!) It really does help me improve my advice... and in the end, that's good for YOU! Talk to ya soon! :)

advice

lol i think food is addicting and i cant stop i mean im not huge but i am fat. i need some way that i can lose wieght without going to a gym or buying stuff for wieght lose .. i need something i can do at home and if any of you have any advice on how to eat less? without starving.. i mean i go on "diets" but i always cheat myself and sneak snacks . no one knows but i always do that and its like im enemies with myself and i hate it but i really need to lose alot of weight i mean alot and its really hard.

ok, well everyone likes to eat and it is hard to cut back, but here is what you should do:

you will need to eat every 3 hours or so, and this should keep you happy and content, but you will need to cut down on portion sizes or else you will GAIN weight instead of losing it.

what i mean by this, is instead of eating a big lunch at 12 and then having a big dinner at 6, you need to have a small lunch at 12, eat a snack at 3, and then have a small dinner at 6. this will allow your metabolism to be constantly going, and you shouldn't even feel hungry at any part of the day because you are eating every 3 hours.

another thing to keep in mind is that you should eat breakfast when you wake up to get your metabolism a head start. it doesn't have to be anything big... fruit, some milk and cereal, a bagel and cream cheese... whatever you like.

also, do NOT eat about 3 hours before you go to bed... so if you are going to bed at midnight, don't eat anything after nine o'clock. but if you are really really tempted and hungry, then have fruits or veggies (just a little bit) and drink a LOT of water throughout the day. carry a bottle around with you and just keep refilling it and drinking all day! this will keep your metabolism running, it will suppress your apetite because a lot of times people mistake thurst for hunger, and it will help you lose weight if you are drinking lots of water instead of fattening pepsi and coke!

lastly, cut out all junk food and learn to eat healthy! go for a baked potato instead of fries, get grilled chicken instead of fried chicken, have fruits for a snack instead of chocolate bars, don't supersize when you go out to eat! you would be surprised how much weight you can lose just by adjusting little things like that in your diet!

you should also do some exercise. a little 20 minute jog won't hurt you every day... or even jump roping! they say that 10 minutes of jump roping is equal to 30 minutes of running! find something you like and do it... a little activity will add up over the days!

this is the best way to lose weight because it involves an entire change in your eating habits! crash diets might help you lose a few pounds quick, but in the end you will gain it all back because you haven't learned how to properly eat in order to maintain your weight. you can deffinitely do this... it might take a little bit of time to get used to it but it will be deffinitely worth it! good luck!! :)
