Dear everybody,
me and my friend met a girl (l) a couple of months ago. she had just moved here, we got along great, blah blah blah. Then, this quarter, she stopped wanting to be around us. she ditched us to sit with another, "cooler" group of girls". we wern't that worried, but we missed her so we asked her to sit with us again.("hey laurel! come sit with us" not "why arnt you sitting with us blah blah")So she sat with us for HALF THE PERIOD and then got up, saying "okay i've spent half my lunch with you, now i HAVE to go spend the other half with them. sorry you guys! i luv you!" it was kinda wierd to think that way, and a little second grade....
she doesnt ever sit with us anymore. (thank god me have our other friends, they are the coolest!)
she also joined my confirmation group, which was good because i never really got along with the girls in my group. (Lets say that when i looked like a nerd they were cold and mean to me, but now that ive kinda blossomed they wonder why i dont want to hang out with them) she became friends with "e" and everyone else and that was okay because i started making friends with them too. but then she atarted cutting me out. i put up with it until one session it got so bad she CLIMED OVER ME in a pew. she didnt notice me until like a minute later when she was like "hey katharine! hi-five!" that is not the way to treat one of your best friends in my opinion. she kept on doing wierd things like that the whole night. like saying "hi katharine" and running off to fawn over the major hottie "c" and suck up to the girls in my group. it was so wierd! she acted like she barely even knew my cat died when i told the group and ran over to hug me. it was obvios she only wanted to look caring and be teh friend of the sad girl!!! to get attention. so the next day at shcool i ignored HER for a while until she came up to me and was like "i know you think ive been ignoring you but i havnt!!! im sorry!" i forgave her. but i didnt know if she could change that fast so next week I brought a friend to confirmation! it was so wierd. "m" + i were the ones giggleing and laughing and L looked on the verge of tears. it made me sad.
how can i tell if she really wants to be my friend or just is using me to get "better" friends? what should i do? how should me and my friend deal with her?
thanks...
(btw I'm a freshman in highschool. im a female. I hope that helps with your answer.)
Ok, let's face it; there's a minor chance she just might be one of those people who doesn't realize what she's doing.. then again, the chances of that are slim. I'd say she was using you. If she continues to approach you, don't be mean, but you still don't have to involve her with whatever you do. She doesn't sound like someone who deserves to hang out with you if that's the only reaosn she's nice to you.

uhm... she just move from waaay up north (northern minnesota)and it kindof happened like this: i dont think shes ever experienced this many different people with so many different styles. there was only 1 group in her shcool. at first when sh ecame here, she went boy CRAZY!!!! i think shes going through the same things i did when i moved. trying to make a place for herself. so i think they may both be right! awesome, thank you so much, i will follow your advice.! :D
