Most likely she is looking for attention. People tend to annoy other people and get attached to them when they don't get enough attention at home or by other friends, or when someone does not have a huge social group. I would not try to avoid her, because things will just get worse. I would explain to her what is going on in a nice way. Saying "your a cool person, but things for me have been hectic, and I just need some space." or something similar.
