My best friend lives in another state. She thinks shes in love with this guy who's 17 (my friend is 14/f). I've never met him, but i really don't trust him. He's currently in jail, and he has a baby on the way with his Ex-girlfriend. I really want to help my friend, but she thinks shes in love with this criminal. he was arrested for drunk driving! SHe doesnt want me to judge him, but i cant help but judge him! what am i supposed to do? should i support her, even though i think she's gonna get hurt, or should i keep trying to convince her not to keep giving this guy everything he wants? you have never met the guy...you have no place what so ever to judge him on his past...you have no place to tell her to stay away from the guy...yes as her best friend you can tell her that you personally dont trust the guy and that you care about her a lot and dont want to see her get hurt but in the end it is up to her...he may be in jail for drunk driving but at least he is serving his time...many people run from the police so they dont have to go to jail...he is fulfilling his punishment and paying for his mistakes and the jail time will probably get him to learn from his mistakes....and the baby thing...accidents do happen...condoms break...the pill doesnt ALWAYS work... but dont get up the guys ass about having a kid...as long as he takes care of his responsibility then he is already better than thos dead beat dads out there that bail on their kids...give the guy a chance..everybody deserves a chance just let him prove himself to her and you...and anybody else that he needs to...if he loves her then he will...if not then..well then it just wasnt meant to be...she may get hurt in the end but she has to make her own choices...

Do you really think i should let my very best friend in the world go out with a criminal in jail for drunk driving UNDERAGE who has a kid on the way? He has been given the opportunity many many times to prove himslef to me and my friend, and she doesnt understand why she likes him so much. She knows she shouldnt, but she cant really help herself. He shouldnt have been having sex with a girl he decided to ditch (therefore he is a deadbeat dad, or will be). He can't take care of his responsibilities as a father because he's in jail because he was irresponsible? i'm wonderiing why you think this guy deserves a chnce, because from what i know about him, he's a bad guy.
