Hey! Ok, I have to give a speech in 2 weeks about the Great Wall of China. We're studying China and you got a list of things you could make your speech about and I picked the Great Wall. You were allowed to have a partner, but only one of my friends is in my class, and she's friends with another girl, so they're partners. I have to give a speech by myself, and I'm so terrified. I've never liked speeches. It's so hard and I always forget what I'm supposed to say, even if I've rehearsed it a thousand times! And to make things worse, it has to be a MINIMUM of 5 minutes. I'm so scared and don't know what to do. Does anyone have any tips on not being scared? And any good ways to memorize a good speech? And also, any good sites about the Great Wall would be appreciated. Thanks so much! (link)

my answer is pretty basic: first take a deep breath. if you allowed to, use index cards but dont rely on them. look at the people you like or are most familiar with. if you can make your speech a little entertaining. speak clearly and slowly. if you have trouble looking driectly at people look at the wall.
