I wake up every morning at least two hours earlier than my first class. I get up, take my dog for a walk, take a shower and get ready. You would think that all of that would wake me up enough to stay awake during my classes wouldn't you?

No luck for me. My hardest class is at 9 mondays and 9:30 wednesdays - Mammalian Anatomy and Physiology- and I am constantly falling asleep durring it. I try to take notes and sit next to the open windows, but it doesn't work. Coffee never seems to help me stay awake, and it gives me an upset stomach even if it did. Does anyone know of anything else that I could do to get myself awake and alert during this class? I don't want to just get a good grade, I actually want to learn everything and remember it all for my job in the future And this means actually paying attention in class.

Try cutting down what u do in the morning. I used to get up at 5 every morning and run (school started at 7:30) anyways my first class was SOO boring, so u would think after running all the energy would be pumping and that I'd stay awake. In reality once I had wasted half my energy running and I settled down i was more tired than when I hadn't even run. basically it was a horrible idea b/c I feel asleep in class (whoops). Try taking ur dog during the day or at night. take ur shower in the morning and that should save u at least an hour? anyways if u still fall asleep try drinking an energy drink. Not coffee or tea..cuz that puts me to sleep. My sister actually suggested to me an energy drink that is big. Its called elements fire, it has a fire symbol on the side and it says elements on it. It's a silver aluminum looking bottle and it's dragonfruit flavor. I think it's really good and it has a certain ingredient in it that's not caffine (although it does have caffine) that really really kicks in to make u hyper...trust me.

(Rating: 2) for those people that actually take care of their dogs, we have to walk them when they need to go out. We can't make them wait to go to the bathroom until afternoon.
