My names not important, but i've been cutting myself alot lately. It's really hard to stop. It just seem's liek its there for me when I'm down or depressed. I really need help but I don't want to tell my family. My familys falling apart already as it is and I don't want to add stress to anyone. It's just hard to stop. It just feels like something to bounce back on. Anybody have advice on what I could do to stop cutting myself.. maybe something else to do instead of that.. I dont know. Thanks alot. (F/14)

I know you feel like it would be really hard to get help for yourself right now, but I encourage you to at least try talking to a school counselor. If you're still a little nervous about it, try finding other ways to express your depression. Try starting a journal. You could write your feelings or make drawing of what you're feeling. Not only could these keep you from cutting, but hopefully once you go to see a counselor, it would help them see what you are dealing with. Please try to not hurt yourself anymore. I hope you find the strength to accept help for yourself.
