we have lotss of mutuals friends, but idk how it could be so that we'd be friends? because its awkward because as of now he doesnt even know that i know who he is, buit he knows that i know the new guy as a stalker of me... so what should i do so that we can talkk

He thinks youre hot. Hot implies confidence and outgoingness. You want him to keep that first impression, right?
Well then talk to him before it's too late. You can go up to him and be like, 'Hey, I'm Julia. You're new here?' or something. Just seem outgoing. You won't seem creepy or anything. That's definitely hot when people don't hesitate about talking to people.
If you're too shy to do that, then you should go up to him when he's with a mutual friend. Go up to her and kinda hug her from behind, or cover her eyes(like in elementary school, when you'd say 'guess who?'), or something playful like that. Or you could just go up to her and be like, 'Hey Liz,' and then shift your attention to him. He already wants you, so it's not going to be hard trying to become friends with him.

Two braids are a really great one. Make them kinda loose, and on either side of your head. Kind of like a little kids. That would work with curly really well.
Also, if you straightened your hair, you could do a sort of twist on that. You could make them really loose, and when you braid them, just kind of do two or three steps(? i dont know how to exlpain his really) so that theyre really short, and tie it right under there. So like, only about half of the hair, give or take, is braided.
If your curls are really tight and defined, try a ponytail sometimes. It looks really cute with little curls.
Also, wear thick headbands. They're so cute. They're kind of over, but they're supposed to come back in in the summer.

One of my friend's computers crashed the other day and she took it took it to a computer shop and they said it crashed from Myspace viruses (from certain profiles that were implanted) So my mom told me i couldn't go on nymore because she doesn't want that to happen to ours. But i REALLY love Myspace and i want to go on it really bad. Is there any way to avoid these viruses? I know most of them are coming from fake profiles, and i only go on the profiles of my friends that i know, so i wouldn't just browse thorugh random profiles. Can i still go on Myspace without that risk if i just go on the people that i know?

Get a good virus protector and firewall, but that's still not going to completely block it. And it's not true that they're from fake profiles; a hacker wouldn't need to make a fake one. He could simply jack someone else's. So being careful isn't really going to help all too much.


And this is kind of separate, but I just thought it was worth saying anyway. But it's just some extra something, not really part of my advice...:
Myspace is kind of deteriorating. No one really likes it anymore(that is, no one in high school or above), hackers are definitely taking ahold... it's all kind of a mess. So if you're in high school, I would definitely tell you that you should get a facebook. Just because there is seriously no way to get a virus off of it, really. It's simpler, and there aren't a billion things to download every time you open a page. It's really a lot better if you want to protect your computer. So if you're old enough, just give it a try and see how you like it. Because if you like it, then it's definitely worth giving up myspace for.

Last year (when I was in the eighth grade) I found a poem in my school Literature book (I live in Texas if it helps) and I absolutely loved it. However, I had to turn the book in and forgot the name of the poem, or even what the poem was really about. So I'm looking for some help... I've already tried searching for it on Google. The poem was about a boy and a girl, probably early teens, and it was winter and they were walking outside. And for some reason the boy had an orange. And in the poem, the boy and girl go into a store or something, and the boy doesn't have enough money to buy the girl something, so he trades the orange. That's all I can remember. Okay, I REALLY REALLY need to lost my stomach fat REALLY REALLY soon. And don't say, no, you aren't fat, you just think that. It's not that I think I'm fat, but my stomach sort of sticks out and I kind of want a flatter stomach anyway. Is there a really fast way I can lose it? And I've tried sit-ups. Sometimes, it helps, but once I did it like, every other day for 3 monthes and it didn't seem to help. Our situp bench has an inclines slope too so it really hurts my back. Any other tips?

Regular sit ups. Not on the incline.
And every otyher day isn't en ough. You have to do atleast five days a week, but everyday is really best. Also, try crunches. But do them both. Don't just do one or the other.
Seriously, those are the best excersizes for getting a flat stomach.
You could also try hula hooping, which thins your stomach, but it will take a lot longer.

Also, maybe it didn't work because you weren't doinog enough. Do about sixty a day if you want to lose weight that fast.

I'm going to summer school this summer, but it's not at an actual school, it's an online class. I'm taking it so that next year I won't have to take it and I can have minimum day to get out of school early my senior year. :]

This is my question. The class lasts from May 23-July 23, and the syllabus says that I'll need to spend a minimum of 10 hours a week on the class doing assignments and reading the textbook. Do you think I'll have enough time to do the class, work part-time, and have a social life?

Yeah, definitely. Thats about two hours a day. You could wake up and do it all at once, and then you have a lot of time left in the day. It would be fineeee.

okso this girl just told me that she likes me, even though i had known this for a while, and i like her back. and we are both getting to highschool early today so i can help her with some homework, but i was hinking sometime during it i will ask her if she wants to go outside and at one point i will take her hnds and ask her out, and if she says yes, then i will kiss her, any tips or help of how to do this?

That seriously sounds amazing. She's going to love that. So go exactly as planned.
On how to get her to come outside with you, maybe just when you two are either alone or in a really big group and awlking together. You don't want to do it in a smaller group because then people might be like, that sounds nice lets all go or whatever. And, they might be all immature and you know how that is. But in a big group, you can slip away easily. And just when youre together, kind of be in a conversation with her, and when it comes to a pause be like, hey want to head outside?
Seriously, she's going to absolutely love that.

I have a great mom. She has her ups and her downs but she always bends over backwards for me. I love her a lot, but she thinks I'm not as appreciative as I should be. So...since mother's day is coming up I really want to suprise her with something really nice. I don't want just a present for her, I want something that she will remember forever. I already am getting her a present anyways. What should I do for her?? I live in a really small town so I can't take her to a really nice restraunt or take her to a play or something. It has to be kind of like a homeade present suprise. I'm thinking maybe a dinner. And a day off from everything. What do you think I should do?? P.S. I only have about sixty dollars. I know it sounds kind of cheesy, but maybe make her jewelery. If you can go to a nice store with a lot of beads and wire, then get some really pretty glass beads. Or there might be a place in your town where you can bead. Like an art place or something. The pottery painting place in my town also has beading; if you have one you could maybe try there?
Also, dinner is a great idea.
If you don't like the jewelery, maybe you could do a small scrapbook of you and her. I'm sure she'd love that.

Go to your room and prop a pillow up on the headboard of your bed. Lean against it, maybe pull the blankets up, and read.
Tell yourself that after you finish, say, fifty pages, you can go get a snack or something.
But don't let yourself go online cause you'll get distracted and forget to go back to the book.

Don't act like you know it's coming though. That would be bad.

Wear something that makes you look really amazing, but not tooo slutty. Reveal one thing that you're proud of, but then be more modest with the rest. For example, if youre gonna wear a low cut top, then don't wear a short short skirt too.

Also, flirt with a lot of guys. That way, you won't need to depend on one guy who might not want to. One of those guys will definitely want too hook up with you. Play kinda hard to get, too. Guys like a challenge.

Well my sister had a huge gash on her forehead and the doctor put some stuff on it and covered it with a bandage and said to not take it off til sunday.

Today's sunday, when do I take it off for her today? Morning? bedtime? etc?

Anytime would probably be good. They usually tell you to keep it on a little longer than necessary just in case. (Not that you should EVER take it off early, but you know what i mean.)
But if you want to stay on the safe side, I'd take it off at bedtime. You know, just in case.

how should i do my make up to make dark brown eyes look really good?

Use eyeliner on the outside half of the bottom eyelid. use black eyeliner. but don't use too much cause that never looks good.

if your eyes have any green in them whatsoever, use purple. like a lavendar or anything thats kinda purpley. it will make them look greener and draw lots of attention.

also, green eyeshadow and beiges. green will look great and give you an earthy feel. the beige can be used if you just want a quick neutral look.

I trim, and use diplatory around it.
I've heard that some guys don't like it when it looks like a girl is 5(hairless). Sometimes I also go for a kind of shape, like a heart, just cause that's kind of cute.
I wouldn't shave the entire thing. If you want to go hairless, get a wax or tweeze. If you shave the entire thing it itches like crazyyy when it grows back.

There's nothing really specific except for the fact that all of the numbers are 1. I've known people to wish on perfect o'clocks, like 4:00 and 8:00. But people don't really do that so much. My point is, its just cause it's a kinda significant time.

Hi. I read your colume and you get alot of positive feedback so I was wonderring if you could help me.

Im 13/F. Ever since october I started liking this guy named Rhodri. He kept my secrets and was always there for me. He was a great friend. Now I like him alot and he flirts with me but I don't know if he likes me. Im afraid to tell him because anyone that has so far he doesn't like and he'd start ignoring them and I dont want that happening to me. This week has been great. I can remember back to Wednsday. We hung out at recess together and he practiced triple jump and I measured everyones jumps. Each time he jumped he smiled at me. Then I was laying down in the grass later on and he came over and was poking me. I laughed and he ran away only to come back and try to jump over me. It didnt work and he kicked me in the head but we laughed it off. When the bell rang we spent the walk inside poking eachother and he hit me on the head so i hit him back and we began chasing eachother. He also loves to scare me. Then yesterday, we ended up wrestling for a baseball and he accidently tripped me and helped me up. He kept nudinging me and gave me high fives. Today, he had wings in his hair and we bugged him about it and he grabbed my arm and made me touch them as a joke. We sold chips together and we shared a pop and a bag of chips. Also after a while he jumped up and started karate chopping me and told me to fight back. And we did for a while. He also tried to push me off my chair as a joke and was mimicking what I said. Afterwards I told him I hated him and he was like "I Love You Too" We were also chasing eachother all recess. He spends alot of his time with me but I was talking to my best friend (who doesnt kno i like him)and she was like "Rhodri told me who he likes" I guessed every girl other than me and she said no to them all. Then my friend Jenna said "Its because he likes Mary!" and she replyed "No I asked him that today and he said no way"

Don't avoid him. He seems like a really great guy, and you should keep staying with him. You don't know that he doesn't like you. Hang out with him more, and keep acting how you are now. Flirt, and be really friendly and all. Also, try and get some one-on-one time in. You can ask him to go to the movies with you and some friends, but deliberately pick a day that you know your friends can't come(don't make it obvious to ANYONE that youre doing this, though. Choose a day that your friends have just mentioned once or twice not being able to go.) Or walk to his classes with him or something. See if he acts the same then. If he acts kind of shy, then that's probably good. If he acts the same, thats good too. If he kind of acts like he wants to not be there, then he probably doesn't like you. But you never know.

Set a time period of, say, two months. If he doesn't make a move or you find out for sure that he doesn't like you(aka he tells you or he rejects you; don't trust an outside source) by the end of that time period, then you should try to maybe get over him. But don't stay away from him. He sounds really great, and you should try to stay friends with him.

As for getting over him(IF it comes to that), here's one thing someone told me: choose one guy(you don't have to like him, but make it someone you see semi-often. like, you have a few classes with him or something). Just concentrate on him. Notice what kind of shoes he wears, if he got a haircut, and all that. Devote your attention to him. Of course you should still try and be friends with Rhodri, but don't treat him like you like him. But pay attention to that one other guy, and you'll find yourself thinking about him less.
