Hi my name is Lee Ann. I am 29 years old and Graduated from Bethany college obtaining a bachelors of music. I am a happily married woman with two kids, ages3 and 2. I currently have six books out on the market, all of which can be found on amazon. The first is called The Leaf: One fallen heart and a burning desire, my second is called Avengement of Glory, my third is called Spiral of Enlightenment, fourth one is called Prodigy of the Immortal, fifth one is called Augment in the Realm of Darkness, and my sixth novel is called Bond in the Spiritual Heart. I started this advice column to see if I could give good advice. Turns out I am pretty good, better than I thought actually. I enjoy seeing people smile when I give them good advice and they use it. It makes me feel better as a person to help people. I want to make the world a better place and I think that starting an advice column is the right way to begin. Writing is a huge part of my life, without it, I wouldn't be able to function properly. After seven years, I think I have done pretty well as an advice columnist.

but why test me when we have already dated before?
he knows who i am and the person i am. so why put me through torture to get him back?

he wants to make sure the same thing won't happen again. he is seeing how hard you are going to push for a relationship and once he sees that you are going on his terms and he will be able to open up.

sorry, by now you probably have had enough of me and asking the most stupidest questions.

im just so scared to text him again. like i dont want him to think im desperate and he isnt showing any interest? for one part of our conversation he seemed like he was being him but the other i felt like he was putting up a wall and didnt wanna talk.

and i dont want this just to be he only texts me cause he feels bad cause i dont want that. ive tried seeing other people but the other guys out there are assholes and it just shows to be what i had and what i lost and i want it back. im just scared to push him.

His wall is going to be up and strong. You may feel like you ant to give up, but that his test. If you can't be patient and get through a simple all, what makes you think the relationship will last and work this time? And again, guys don't talk unless its about cars, movies, bands, etc. And because his wall is his test, you will have to be the only one who engages in the conversation for awhile, it could take months, but if you love him like you said you do, you will take any words from him you can get. In the beginning you were afraid he wouldn't even respond, but he is. If a man doesn't want to talk to a girl, he will tell them flat out to their face, through email, myspace, facebook, phone, or text messaging. Until you get one of those, I would continue pursuing.

i hate that im doing this to you but
a) no one is helping me out &
b) no one is actually supporting the idea of that i can get him back.

im just doubting myself now, like is this what i truly want? and am i just giving up just because he isnt really talking much?

i just want our conversations to be easier and im scared that when i text him next he wont answer like he did the last time.

If they were truly your friends, they would support anything you do. Friends will walk by your side when you want to vandalize an ex's car or give you a bat when your upset with the loss of a loved one. What you friends are doing and saying is not what they should be doing or saying. They don't want to see you succeed and the thought of you being happy when their not, is something they can't handle. Often friends want their friends to drown in misery, the same misery as them. If they find their friend finding happiness, they do whatever it takes to make sure they don't succeed. This is your case and you need to ignore your friends.

Point 2: This is what you want because its all you think about. You can't sleep and your alays contradicting yourself. You wonder what do they think, what are they doing, and how do they feel. These are the signs of someone who is truly in love with someone. It is true in life you don't always have a happy lifestyle but I believe that if you truly find someone you are completely and hopelessly in love with, you will end up together in the end.

Point 3: Men like short conversations. Majority of the time, their thoughts are mostly inappropriate. Sometimes they don't respond because they are busy and get sidetracked. You make it sound like he has no life, sits around, and chooses to ignore you. If he is a guy, he is will tell you exactly how he feels if he is annoyed, bored, or hates you. You haven't gotten a text saying i hate you please leave me alone. He isn't responding because he actually is doing something and doesn't have time to respond at the time then eventually forgets altogether.

Having a second chance at a relationship is going to be so much harder than the first because your expectations are failure...which proves what you are thinking. You need to stop being paranoid and analyzing everything for the worst. You are blowing things way out of proportion and if you want, I will text him and get the inside scoop. Just give me your name and his..there you go. The conversations are going to be awkward and confusing for a couple of months, its the time where you guys are getting to know and used to the other person again.

why is he playing hard to get? if i might ask

Those who play hard to get are testing the other person. The ant assurance that the other person is committed and is not being setup to get hurt again or in his case fear of being in a committed relationship. I do it to make sure that the other person isn't just trying to sleep with me or some other known reason. I want to guarantee they will be by my side no matter how much I shut them out or back away. He particularly plays hard to get because he was afraid of what he had. The thought of committment scared him, so he ran away. Both scenarios are quite common in relationships.

yes i have all the patience in the world but am i waiting for him to text me or do i text him cause i know him and i know he wont text me?

If you waiting for him to text, your wasting your time. Men have a one tract mind and not likely to going to text unless they are texted. You have initiate the conversation by making a move. Text him, if he doesn't reply send another one a couple of days later. He will reply but not everyone has the time to do so. I text alot of my friends and have the time they read them and forget to text back. Its no big deal, just leap and stop thinking about it too much.

My grandma is on life support does that mean shes dead or she just unconscious or something? Does life support really help, can it help a person come back? When my aunt was on life a support for being in a coma they just took her off, was she already dead too? Why do doctors put people on life support and take them off a couple of days later?

When people are put on life support, it means they can't breathe by themselves so they have support to keep them alive. If after some time, the condition doesn't change lets say after three months, they will take life support off and let them die peacefully. Alot of individuals have controversy about whether to take someone off life support because techinically they are the ones ending the life, but also in the same aspect by keeping them on life support, they making them suffer by keeping them alive. It depends on the person and the situation whether they will take life support off or on, it is the choice of the family member in charger, not the doctors orders. If the family requests it to stay on and they are the gaurdian in charge they will or they will listen when they say to take them off.

so how do i get past him playing hard to get?

If you truly want him back then patience and time should be easy for you. Just think in your head it is completely worth your time and you will be able to get past it.

PLEASE HELP!!! I went to school for ECE and didnt like the rigid schedule and lack of freedom Now i am thinking about doing social work. I want to be able to help people and feel like I did something Good at work. I want to know what the classes are like and what the work it self is like because I dont want to jump into it and quit a year in like I did with ECE please if you have any opinions at all PLEASe SHARE!

Social takes alot of energy and time. You have to memorize cases, take and master psychology classes, and be able to be in the top of your class. The closer you get to a degree, the harder it is going to be in terms of flexibility. A good way to help people is teaching them. Ever thought of that? You would be teaching someone else the subject that you like and do the most effective in. Or there is the option of being a writer and doing your own advice column. There are many options when it comes to helping people.

what if one day i text him and he doesnt text back? do i wait a few days and text again or just stop?

Ok, you will have situations where he won't text back. It's not that he doesn't like you or doesn't want to talk, its what men do. They like to play to hard to get, test how needy they are, and really just observe what kind of girl they are dealing with. The best thing is not to push it with texting, maybe send one every couple of days if he doesn't respond. if you send one every hour---"desperate"---everyday---"needy"---every couple of days not desperate or needy but wants to actually engage in something.

and they can tell when girls are insecure? so i need to show confidence?

You just need to act, simply as that. I won't be able to write back for a few weeks because my work schedule is insane before I go back to school.

well since you guys are only texting you don't know how he feels or how he is looking. Find common interests and relax. Men can smell insecurity a mile away. Give it time and it will all work out. I gave you an entire list of things to talk about other than how is doing remember?

no, keep contact because otherwise he will find your conversations awkward. You want to befriend him :) But seriously you won't know anything until you atually try. He won't find anyone else because he would have already by now.

Guys do not talk much unless they are with other boys. When it comes to girls they are like jello. He may not have feelings for you now, but your impatience is getting the best of you. How can he develop feelings if your fear prevents it. You can spend all your time talking to me but nothing is going to change unless you take action. Don't think so much, but just act.

but how do i start a conversation of getting to know him again? like when i got to know him last year we played like 20 questions and i had fun but he doesnt seem like he would wanna do that again and like i said i dont want him to think right away that i want him back.

is there anyway i can get into a conversation of getting to know him?

questions to consider:

-how have you been?
-Anything exciting happen lately?
-if you could pick three favorite bands, what would they be?
-if he lists them to you, do some research and say, hey did you know...
-if he is working anywhere ask if he likes it and what the best parts of it is or bad parts
-ask him how his family is
-tell him about soemthing that happened to you that he find humorous or something that he can relate too besides your past relationship such as a death in the family, being clumsy, etc.
-the only way your going to get to know him is if you ask all the questions. He may give one word answers but thats ok, and if he doesn't respond within the day, he may be busy. I know that when I get sidetracked I don't answer until the next morning. By that time, everyone thinks I am ignoring them haha.
-if that doesn't work say that you met a friend who works at post gazette in Pennsylvania and he met bret michaels. Actually my brother did last week and said he is a very friendly guy. I wish I would have been there.

My female went into heat for the first time and the bleeding stopeed about two weeks ago. However the vulva is still out and I hear that as long as it's out she can get pregnant. Is this true? I want to be able to bring my male around but not if there is ANY chance he could get her pregnant.

Techinically she can get pregnant anytime if they are doing it. The best thing to do is if don't already have a male, buy one thats already fixed. I have a male pitbull that has been fixed and he doesn't want to do anything. Even though my female pitbull tries to show him how to do it, it doesn't phase him at all. If you already have a male that isn't fixed, you can keep them together as long as you keep a close eye on them. Whenever you have to leave or something, keep them separated.

I'm 18 years old and my never listens to my opinions, thoughts, wants. I turned 18 recently and I said I absolutely did not did not did not want a birthday party. Since I hang out with a lot of different groups of people, my friends do not know eachother. There was a total of 5 people there. My friend only invited the people she knows I talk to. The one girl I barely even talk to anymore. It wasn't really even a party because only two people got me gifts. It was just lame. Also, I've been wanting a dog and my mom agreed to it. I really wanted a yorkie, but my mom insisted on a Maltese. My mom is annoying and whines and pouts till she gets her way. What do I do????!

Don't let her win, she is older so she is playing you because she has the authority. you are eighteen now, she can't control you anymore. The thing I did to get my moms attention was I wrote everything I wanted and what she did to mess it up. She looked to see it was a long list. Keep eye contact, and if you have to raise you voice just a little, its ok. Sometimes people don't get the message until there is tone in the voice. Ask if you can get one of each, the kind she wants and the kind you want. You can take of yours and she can be responsible for yours. If she doesn't agree, say its that or don't bother getting a dog at all.

okay, so we talked and at first he was being weird and giving me one word answers and then i thought there was no hope but he started talking more and getting into the conversation but then towards the end he was acting like he did in the beginning of the conversation.

is it true that guys hard their feelings more than girls? cause i believe it but then im not sure.

i feel like giving up though cause idk how to get back into his heart. like idk how to get to know him again without him thinking i want him back. im scared he will figure out i want him back and then he will just not respond to me.

Always think of this question, what would a friend do? Your answers to that question is how you would play it. uys absolutely hide their feelings than women. Women are mosty open, honest, and always want something more in a relationship. Guys are simple, don't show mch affection even though they feel it. It will be awkward at first because it has been awhile. As a women, you will always have to start the conversation, women are the pusher in the relationship. Right now you are good in the friend zone. What you are doing is right and as long as you answer the question and actions in a friends point of view for now, he will never suspect a thing. Don't give up, this is worth it remember?

my parents are divorced and my mom got remarried. my step dad has 2 step sons and every since i first met the youngest one, i liked him alot. then when my mom and step dad got married i didnt stop liking him but i knew that nothing could happen between us so i tried to forget about it. but we are really close we have a good bond and all then he told me he liked me and i didnt know what to do!! it is so confusing! i told him it would be awkward but i still dont wanna push him away to where he wont talk to me. please help!!

Well, just say you want to be friends for now and continue to have a close relationship with him. Eventually the awkwardness will fade once you spend more time being just friends. If something does happen, as least you guys aren't really related. Actually, it is quite common in my state and west virginia.

I am 22 and have been having my period since I was 12. I have some really bad cramps tonight. I was thinking of having a few drinks tonight so I'd sleep better and not be waking up with cramps all night long.

I know alchol makes you bleed more though when you have wounds. If I drink tonight will it make my period heavier? Will it make my cramps worse for some reason?

I am 13(m) and want a job when I turn 14. I am awear of child labor laws, and know that at 14 you need a workers permit or something and then at 16 you dont need one(why is that? Just curious). So my question to you is, where exactally do I get a workers permit?

Each state is different, so you would need to do a google search of your state and work permits. Here is an example of a work permit website that tells you what you need and where to go. http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/er/labor_standards_bureau/work_permits.htm. The reason beng you are not required to have a work permit at 16 is because thats the minimum age that is required to be emancipated or becoming an adult. Anyone younger isn't considered an adult and needs parental consent. Don't get me wrong, if you are not emancipated, being 16 means you are still a child.
