i have been sitting in my house eversince summer break started from school and i haven't realyl done anything fun the whole summer break and we have been out for like two weeks and like i tend to find my self calling like everyone i know to find something to do and i noticed the other day i let me friend say some shit about me and normaly i was have been pissed off i just took it
and another thing is i keep lookin at all my pictures of my friends just wishing how much i had a g/f and just the other day i called my x /gf and told her i liked her? i dunno why? i don't i just miss it so much cause when we were goin out she was always there for me some times to much so can someone please tell me if i am depressed? or what the hell is wrong with me cause i am seemin to feel really sad and it seems like NOTHING is going right for me at all! I have alot of the same feelings. I actually find myself crying everyday, but I am a girl, so you may not do the whole crying thing. I didn't think of myself as depressed, just frustrated. If you weer depressed you would think about killing yourself, which I really hope you have not!! Anytime I watch a movie, I always see the main characters making out, and I really miss having a boyfriend. During the school year I would actually flirt with some pretty skummy guys. My friends weren't that nice to me and they were really getting on my nerves. To solve my problem I did the following:
Found a decent guy who wasn't an ass and I hung out with him. I later found we had a lot in common and he was cooler then I thought. As for the friends, I told them they were rude and were really starting to piss me off. My real friends appologized and were not mad, but the one's who were not got mad and we are no longer friends. If they are your friends, they will feel bad and want to make it up to you. good luck!

I've always been really bad at finding things to say to people when they're upset. I mean, I know that usually what they need is just for their friend to be there for them, but I can't just stand there while they cry...for instance, one of my friends has been having a lot of problems lately: she fights with her mother often and recently her grandfather was taken to the hospital and they think he might have cancer. She gets upset often and i never know what to say or do! I feel horrible...i need some advice on what to say when she's going through hard times or crying on the phone or whatever because I always feel that I'll sound stupid and not good enough of a friend. when someone has cancer you can;'t tell the person 'oh, it'll be okay' because it won't! so please, if you have any advice i'd be glad to hear it (link)

Believe it or not, she may not need you to say something. A simple, "I am sorry to hear that and I hope everything works out" is all you need to say. Alot of times, when someone has a problem, they just need someone to listen to their problems. Just be a good friend and listen.

One of my mates since she turned 12 has been in too much of a rush to grow up. She won't go to see any PG or U films she said "Im to old for them and im 12 now i don't want to see baby films *SHE WOULDN'T GO AND SEE FINDING NEMO*" It is starting to get on everones nerves. We are all wanting to have a laugh but she takes things to seriously. We have tried talking to her but she won't listen. At christmas i asked her what she got and she said that she doesn't really care about the presents she is mainly trying to help her little brothers out. I know that your suppoesed to do that but this year she will be 13 and a teenager so why can't she just live a little cause this will be her last year as a kid. You only get 1 chance of a childhood why not take it while u can.

Start doing things, such as seeing PG and G movies, without her. When she asks why you don't invite her, just tell her it's because she doesn't like doing that and you didn't want to waste her night. When you do the partying, invite her so she doesn't feel completely left out. She will miss hanging out with you all the time and start doing the kid stuff you have fun doing.

this is kristi.. i wrote about ricky awhile ago... well i wrote him a letter and gave it to him on the last day of skool.. i know kinda lame but hey at least i gave it to him. well it said that i liked him and that we should hang out this summer then i put my number at the bottom... well he called me THAT NIGHT. we talked bout everything BUT the letter, but we found out that were going to hawaii... same island and everything at the same time so we r gonna meet up there to hang out.. how perfect huh? well does that mean anything that he called me that nite when i said call me this SUMMER?

Krisi, he is so digging you right now! And I think you know he does, just you don't want to be modest! Haha Just kidding! Anyway, when you are in Hawaii with "lover-boy" you should metion the letter. Since he is out of the state, he can't say he has to meet up with his buddys,and he won't be around them so he can tell you how he really feels without being embarrassed. You should be able to trust him, if not then maybe he isn't right for you. But in the off chance that you just worry too much, have one of his friends ask him, but make sure it is someone you trust and won't lie to you to save his friend. A guy will always tell him friend the truth.

hopefully i can make this as short as possible, so here we go (by the way i am a male and am 15 years old, going to be a sophmore next year); the person i like to portray myself to be is a really nice and caring guy who is what some people would call not as much a guy as guys are, but anyways, there is this girl who is really really nice, and really really fun and energetic, she is always "bouncing off the walls" and also has a great sense of humor and is really fun to be around, i really enjoy being around her. here is some more information: i didnt know how to let her know how i felt about her, because i look up to her as a rolemodel as the person i want to be like, funny, smart, and just plain fun and not perverted or anything, like she never curses or says sick jokes or anything like that, so anyways, one day after school i stopped her and told her that i thought she was really cool and she in turn said the same thing to me, and i told her that i never thought i would meet anyone else like her. to finish off the information- i am moving in about 3 weeks, leaving state going off to somewhere else because of parent complications and what not, and now i just want to get to know her better; she did give me her email, but knowing her she doesnt check it except every month or so, so that it does not get deleted, because it is a hotmail account, so if i am lucky she will see the email i sent to her asking her if she would want to go for a walk and talk sometime so we can get to know each other better, but i dont think that will work. so anyways, here is my question- i want to find a way to ask her to do something with me (and by the way she doesn't want to date anyone or get into a relationship, that is why i want to ask her on a walk), but i dont know what to ask her to do, i thought of asking her for i walk, so we can talk more, because i want to get to know her better, so i dont know what to ask her, and second of all i dont know how to contact her, so far i have just been waiting to see if she will reply to my email, but i dont think she will, so i want another way to ask her, and i am not so sure about calling her house or knocking on her door and asking her that way, i only have 3 weeks left before i am gone and will not be able to see her again, so i just want some advice (and by the way she doesnt use chats either), so i would really appreciate it if someone could send me some advice, thanks a whole bunch if you do! A guy I have adored since the beginning of the school year (which is now over) told me he likes me, but that he is moving. We have been going out every night ever since. I didn't mind the fact that he was moving, I was just glad that he wanted to spend his last days with me before he moved away. I am sure the girl you like will think and feel the same as I do, especially since you say she is really nice. I agree with the other advisors when they say, Go For It!!! Good luck!

See, theres this kid, lets call him Jordan (not his real name). He goes to my Middle Skool and is in alot of my classes (well he was, its SUMMER) I even have his phone number on my class list!! Hes like almost a foot shorter than me, but hes really cute. I like him alot and miss him over summer. Im not really skinny either, so if I asked him out its like 96% chance of a refusal. He hardly knows wo I am. A girl told me he hates me. (he doesnt know me so thats prolly a lie) What should I do? How can I get him to like me? How can I see him over Summer?

I have actually had a similar thing happen to me once. I really liked this amazingly gorgeous guy, but I just recieved my braces and was very self-concious about the way I looked. I thought for sure there was no way he would ever agree to hanging out with me. But despite the fact that I thought there was no chance, I asked him to hang out. What I suggest is start with a group outing. Invite a couple of your friends and "Jordan" along. That way, if he isn't the guy you thought he was, your girl is right there with you.
