I feel your pain, Whoever-you-are. It sometimes takes forcing yourself to a point of confidence. You know, like when you feel uncomfortable around a new friend/new place/etc. just try your best to get used to it. Put yourself in places you'd rather not be until you feel alright with them. Sometimes it takes putting yourself through a little pain to feel better in the long run.
-EDIT: Wait, what'd you mean by you've had a few knocks lately with everything?... If it means what I think it means, then yeah I feel your pain. If it doesn't... well then forget I ever said anything.

hey, me and my boyfriend, were both 18, want to get married, and his mom has absolutely no problem with it, because she already considers me her daughter, but my dad is totally against it. what should i do (link)

Talk to your dad about it. Eighteen is a bit early for marriage, I'd usually say 20 is the minimum. But depending on the situation, just talk to your dad about the whole ordeal. You're not going to make him happy by marrying against his will. I don't really know what's going to take place here, or what the situation is, but just sit down with your dad and make the best of it. Tell him how you feel about it, then listen to his take of it all. That should help.

What are imaginary numbers?? I have heard of them before, and I know it is a really high level of math, but can somebody explain it to me?? I'm only taking Alg 1 right now! lol (link)

It's a number that's not technically possible, and it usually involves the square root of a negative prime number. For example, the square root of -1 is impossible because a negative multiplied by a negative will never equal a negative. The square root of -1 is commonly used as the letter "i" to simplify things. So the square root of -5 can be simplified by stating it as "i times the square root of 5." It's hard to explain, and it's pretty hard to understand, but you will probably have to work with them at some point in time or another, so there you go.

okay my best guy friend and my best girl friend are going out...i really wish them luck..but i cant help but feel jealous...i keep telling myself that i dont like the guy.but every time i see him i melt..the girl invites me to the movies with them but i dont think i could take it..watching them hold hands..is there anything i can do about it..or should i just sit back and watch them go out to the movies and crap right in front of me...i promise ill rate high and i really need help...(13 female) (link)

Well, now is a bit too late to start it all over again - but if you can't stand going with them, don't. And if you need help with it, tell your girl friend how you feel, and if she's a true friend, she'll understand. But never try anything behind the scenes to get them to break up or anything; that can only make things worse. Let them go out, and maybe they'll get bored with each other, who knows?
