Q: i was running downhill and tripped over a wire that was holding these two trees in place. i got a bruise on my shin that swelled up a lot but didn't really turn a color. if i showed it to someone they'd swear they couldn't see it at all until they realized it was swollen.
that was 4 or 5 weeks ago.
the bruise has faded entirely but the area hurts to touch still and even when i lightly brush it against something i get this seering pain, like if someone were to tap it with one finger i would nearly scream it hurts so much.
why hasn't it gone away yet? what should i do about this?

I don't exactly know why it hasn't gone away yet. But it sounds to me like there is something wrong here. So there is no color left in the bruise? That means that any skin damage is healed. I'm thinking that there is something internally wrong. It sounds like it's a hairline fracture. Regardless of what the name of the injury is, you should see a doctor. He/she may be able to prescribe you something to make the swelling/pain lessen.

Q: Who technically owns the giants...i know that (i think wellington) mara just died...but did he own the whole team and then leave it to his wife, or was he co-owner and left it to his son John...because i know he had 11 kids....so who inherited it??

I have an idea.
I read this question and it just came to me.
Go to like .. Kohls and get like .. a $5-$10 jean mini skirt. Then like .. spray paint it with a metallic silver color. I'm a dance and certain shoes can be spray painted. So just make sure the color wont come off in the wash. And make sure you spray it outside so your house doesn't smell bad!

I go to a private school in Los Angeles, Cali. There are a lot of people at my school who are very fashionable, but I don't know where they shop at and I really like the style.. It's not like forever21, alloy, delias, hollister, ae, etc.
It's stores like urban outfitters, LF boutique, and kitson. But what are some other boutiques/stores that are similar to those fashions? thanks

Well the key to any outfit is the accessories!
Bold colors like bright reds, yellows, etc look really good. WetSeal, Charolette Russe, Target, Claires and Forever 21 all have really good accessory sections.
It's tough to find a store that best suits your style. I found a store that I completely adore because it has the perfect clothes for me. It's called Rue 21. It's pretty reasonably priced too. It has apparel, shoes, and accessories.

Q: Okay, I've suffered from echzma for a while now, and its spread all down my arms and legs and face. I went to the Doctor and they prescribed hydrocortisone (1 percent and 0.5 percent if that helps) and diprobase. It worked for a while but then came back. I went back, and they prescribed the same and fucibet, for an extra bad part. It worked again and then failed. It keeps coming back! It's not the soap, makeup, shower gels I use, and I dont use perfumes. Its not the washing powder either... I just don't get it. Does anyone know a treatment thats good for getting rid of echzma? I just hate the way it looks! Its all down my arms and I look all mottled. Does anyone have any remedies or advice? Thankyou. VERY. Much :)

I hear ya. I used to have wicked bad excema. I showed up on my arms, shoulders, legs, wrists, and in between my knuckles. There is a home remedy actually: Crisco. It sounds completely rediculous, I know. But it works. I mean really, what do you have to lose? My dermotologist reccommended it to me. Try Crisco everyday once to twice a day.

Q: ok so i've been applying at a job at Publix since APRIL. and oh my word they are very stingy. the only place close to me is publix, and im not allowed to take the bus anywhere by myself and i have yet to get a car. so i just need a job at this one publix.
im 15 and ive talked to all of the managers and they always say "write your name down and we'll take a look at your application." but they never look at it, like im a joke.
so, i need tips on how i can get a job there. i applied for the bagging position and today i typed up a resume. its not very impresive since i have no work experience, but you have to start somewhere.
anyways, any tips? also if you worked at publix before, tell me what you did to get the job and how long it took to get the job.

Whenever it's hot, or i'm working out, or exerting myself at all- my entire body becomes drenched in sweat and my face turns bright red (not just a healthy glow, but disturbingly red like a devil) and people are always like "OMIGOD ARE YOU OKAY?!?!??!" and it's SO annoying and embarassing.
What causes this whole sweat problem (i know it's not hyperhydrosis because it's not like i have sweatstains all the way down to my waist)
and what can i do to stop it?
and why does my face turn all red ?
(and it's not puberty, i've passed that)

Been there! You MIGHT have what I have. It is called hyperhydrosis. Hyperhydrosis means that you have overactive sweatglands. Go to your dermatologist and he might prescribe you something called Aluminum Chloride. It's awesome. I used to use but I moved onto a type of pill. Its a pill that dries out your whole body. It doesnt hurt or anything. Your mouth just gets dry in the morning lol. But if it's not that, Ban and Certain Dry work good for most.
*P.S. Hyperhydrosis doesn't mean you have sweat stains to your waist. It just means you have over-active sweat glands. You aren't necessarily drowning in sweat.

When I think of sweet 16 gifts, I don't think about how much money they cost, but how much they will mean to the reciever. I made my best friend a scrap book of pictures we had taken with our other best friend. Those pictures were from dances, conerts etc..

Well .. a phyciatrist gives help and prescribes medication.
A phycologist is someone who gives advice and listens to you. But I don't think they prescribe medication.

I'm an emotional wreck. And it's almost hard to believe that this has been caused by one guy. I used to be in love with him. He told me he didn't like me in that way (I suppose because he's older). Okay. I accepted the fact that he doesn't like me. But I still am always thinking about him! Always! Always waiting for hours on MSN, while we were in school, anywhere. I'm constantly thinking about him. I can never stop. He's just always on my mind. I don't know what to do. I can't concentrate on anything anymore. It's like, my whole life revolves around one guy. I understand where you are coming from. When my exboyfriend dumped me, I was a wreck too. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, and for a while, I just shut out everyone. But I did eventually find how to get over him.
I found that being single, is a time to find yourself. I know that that sounds insanely corny .. but it's true. You find out who you are without the impact of others.
Being single made me a stronger person. And once you know exactly "how you are" and what kind of person you are .. then, if you feel confident enough, can let go. Let go of him. If you say he doesn't like you like that, then let go. I know it sounds harder than that .. but you're a 15 year old teenage girl, you need to live! Get out there and meet other guys! Good luck! Q: My friend has convinced me to go on a blind date with a guy in grade 12. I am in grade 10. He has seen pictures of me but I know very little about him. My friend assures me that he is nice and such but I'm not sure.
Is this a good idea or bad idea to go?

I think going on a blind date with this boy would be a good idea.
But the one thing I would do, would be to bring this friend. Why? Because if she seems to know and think highly of this boy, then she would have little to no hesitance of going with you.
