14/m there is this girl who i kinda like. the problem is that she is out of my league. she is in all honors classes and im only in honors math and we're not in the same class. there is also this other guy that likes her (a friend of mine) and he has a better chance at going out with her than me cuz they are closer than she is with me. how can i get close to girls, so i'll have a better chance with them than other guys?

The best thing is always direct contact. Like talk to her and get to know her. If you are shy you should get her screen name on aim or her phone #. sorry, this is kind of long but i really need help
Ok, im a thirteen year old girl. in 7th grade i was popular...but indeed a train wreck when it came to looks. now i have slimmed out alot, done my hair differently, my skin cleared up, and i guess i have fun grown up a whole lot more(body/face).and lately i have been noticing that guys have been a lot more flirty with me. they always liked my personality but now i think they actually see me as a woman. some of my guy freinds are always telling me how georgiouse i am. but anyway...our school resently split into 2 schools, one is across town now. alot of my freinds left, including this boy that i was freinds with. and i havnt seen him since this party i went to last weekend. before the school split, we were freinds and all, but i never really think he thought of me as a REALLY FUN girl that deserved more attention. anyway, at the party, he started REALLY to joke around with me and flirt(i think) and give me a lot of attention. plus he looks at me very differently. when i left he came over and made sure to say goodbye. i felt so special. What does this mean? Does he like me or just want to be freinds with me? personally, i think that attraction isnt the most important thing, and yet is is really important. if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it!!! thanks!!

Well you should talk to him and I don't know what to tell you, but older guys like 16 aren't interested in girls who are younger, but since there isn't too much of a difference you hould hang out with him and talk to him. I do that with guys I and like we get closer than we were before b/c we get to know each other. Let me know what happens. ~Calie~

Ok, well a while back before homecoming, my neighbor for over a year had a old friend to go with. He is a sophmore, and ii am a freshman. Well, my sister is a sophmore also, and she was talking to him and he said that if he would have went with a freshman, it would have been me or my friend. I am sorry I don't know how to make a garden, but you should tell your friend to start of taking care of plants first. I don't know if this will help, but she can like keep different plants in her backyard and just keep adding plants. hope I helped. ~Calie

My dad is moveing to San Antonio, Texas tomorrow. We live in Pennsylvania now, but my dad got a job, and hes moven there now, and leaving me and my mom behind until we sell our house, (they think its the best thing to do) My dad is like my best friend, and alotta people know that he is. My friends invited me to hang out with them like since its Halloween abuncha my friends hang out and we just mess around. I really wanna hang out with them tonight because Halloween only comes once a year. But I wanna spend time with my dad too just because he's leaving tomorrow, and I won't be able to see him again until December 22nd. What do you think I should do? Any help will get 5s!

I think you should hang out with your dad first and later in the evening hang out with your friends that way you can do both things. Plus if you hang out in the day with your dad you will get more time with him. Have Fun!

just about every friday i go to a dance and i always have to wear something i dont like out of the house because my mom wont let me wear: camis, leather pants, short skirts, tank tops, wife beaters, eye liner, mascara, eye shadow, hoop earings, u get the picture. well i always change when i get there. its a real pain. does anyone know how i can convince my mom to let me look like im 13 not 6. thanx for ur help.

You should tell her that you are responsible and you should ask her why she wont let you wear that stuff. i think you should compromise with her like if you could wear some of the stuff you want to wear. Alright, so a friend of mine's dad died on tuesday after a long battle with a brain tumor. i've known the guy for since like thrid grade (we're freshemen now) and his mom was my teacher. when i heard about this i was very upset. I couldn't bring myself to go to the funeral today, but i'm worried my friend's going to think i don't care about him, and that i'm not worried about him. I'm sending him a card and donating for the charity they wanted us to donate to instead of flowers, but is there anything else i could do for them? i feel horrible about not going to the funeral, but what else should i do?

You should explain to your friend why you dont want to go to the funeral. I am sure she will understand if she doesn't just talk to her till she does get it. you should also tell her that you are upset about it. Hope I helped. ~Calie

I just got my belly button pierced today and when i went to clean it out i was going to use safegaurd soap... but it was a deoderant soap to or something, and has a little scent, do you think that its going ot hurty my belly button n all because it has a scent?

ok im getting contacts and i was thinking about getting colored i have blonde hair that is about the color of paris hilton my eyes r like light green. wut color do u think i should get i was thinking maybe a lil greener or blue?

Blue is always the best color with blonde hair. Atleast that's what people that I know say. Also it depends what kindof green you ahve now. Light green is pretty too.

what's a good brand for a hair straightener, and what's a good product to put on before you straighten it (that thermal care stuff, not the shampoo kind... bah, i wish i knew the name!)

I know alot of people who use a Conair straightner and it's pretty good. You should buy the ceramic one though. Also the product you use could be by "TG" b/c that's a really good brand. Many people like that brand. Good Luck!

At the end of the last school year, one of my best friends (Sarah) got a boyfriend and was always blowing me and our other best friend (Lorraine) off to hang out with her boyfriend. Over the summer they broke up and luckily Sarah's been her old self again, but Lorraine can't let go of the fact that Sarah used to blow us off for her guy. I've forgiven Sarah, but Lorraine hasn't, and now the two of them seem to be fighting over me to "get back at" the other. They're both trying to make plans with me and leave out the other, and it's driving me insane! I want to confront them about this, but how should I go about doing that?

I had a similar problem a while ago. I think you should talk to (Lorraine) first and ask her why she is being like that. You should tell her that (Sarah)was over being like that. You should also talk to them together and get them to talk to each other without fighting. What happened with me was my friends got in a fight b/c one of my friends bcame popular for a little while and when they ditched her she came back to us. I forgave her b/c I had known her for a long time, but my other friend wouldn't. I reminded them both of how good friends they were and how they really needed each other and I promise you they did apopogize to each other. so talk to them and don't worry you can talk your friend out of being stubborn.

i have super super think hair and when every i blowdry or let my hair dry with air it goes frizzz city and i so much hair it doesnt look good and i was wonderign how do i make it go not frizzcity with out paying to much money and i cant go to the hair place everyday so ya i need some help

Well I too have really thick hair and I go to the hair stylist every month to get my hair thinned. I mean I am not saying you should go every month, but get your hair thinned some time, it looksmuch better and it's much easier to handle. My friends straighten their hair everyday and it looks better, but if you get it even a little wet it frizzes again so I hardly do that. My advice is still get it cut a little shrter if your hair is long, but definately get it thinned. I hope I helped.
