Played volleyball for over 10 years, also a coach. I love to try new things. Currently I'm trying the new sport of tennis and learning about my passion of photography.
advice
I'm fourteen he's sixteen. He has mono. I can't kiss him. What am I supposed to do??
ha ha ha. to me, it's not that big of a problem really.. when you're young, it seems like kissing is VERY important. but really, when you get older.. it's not that big of a deal. You can wait a few months. its not that hard. Kissing isn't everything. You have PLENTYYYY of time to kiss hahaha. don't rush into it. it's more special if you wait. I would know. I didnt get my first kiss until about a year and half ago and i'm 17, and it was the most perfect first kiss ever and i couldn't have asked for a better one =D
so just take it slow. its not a disaster. trust me. i know what i'm talking about.
just don't kiss him and don't share his drinks or anything. i've had mono before and it goes away within a few months. don't risk getting mono just because you want a kiss...

Im making my own graduation announcements because theres three of us graduating at once and to get us all individual announcements would be pretty costly. My only problem is im not sure what to put in them. What usually goes in announcements?
you can mention something in there about how high school will affect your future. like for example "I know that in the future, there will be tough situations.. but thanks to high school, i've learned how to deal with different problems and now I feel comfortable enough to succeed. Thank you!"

lately, i've been missing a LOT of school because every time i wake up for it im extremly sick to my stomach, like i'm going to throw up. i have a feeling that its either from anxiety or lack of sleep the night before, both which can make me sick. anyways i have school in a couple of days and im freaking out, i cant afford to miss anymore but im so afraid i'm gonna be too sick and freaked out to go. and no, i am not pregnant or any other kind of phsyically ill as far as i know.
my question is, does this happen to anyone else? and is there any way i can help it? sleeping pills dont usually help me so its pretty hard to get a good nights rest, and i dont know how to fight the anxiety even though im on Buspar for it.
anything will be reassuring, thanks.
you're probably just really unhealthy right now. here's what you need to do-
-eat nutritious food, like fruits, veggies
-drink LOTS of water. I'm talking 8 glasses a day. don't drink any of that soda crap. all it does is dehydrate you and make you sick. stay away from caffeine
-get around 7-9 hours of sleep. no more and no less. more sleep will just make you lazy
-EXERCISE!!! go outside and breathe fresh air. dont stay in quarantine in your stuffy house. go outside and run, or even walk. play some frisbee, jump rope, or even go swimming or go dancing
- take a shower. Sometimes i have that "yucky" feeling and all it takes is a shower and then i feel clean and healthy
- stay away from tv. it just makes you lazy. instead, go do something else. like volunteer at your community, join an afterschool club or sport, go to a concert, cook, sing etc.
oh yea, and SMILE!!
you might just be depressed, sad, or moody. find something to make you smile and have fun and have energy.
at night, drink some water or warm milk. no sugar before bed. change your sheets (again with the dirty feeling... if you change your sheets, you have that clean feeling and it makes you more relaxed), maybe play some calming music (on my ipod, i have an hour length song and all it is is a rainstorm and its sooo calming), light some candles for that soothing feeling, take a hot bath before bed, use aromatherapy scents for anything (candles, bath soap, etc) that always calms my mind. also don't forget to take deep breaths.
what you could also do is take up on yoga or pilates. I've recently started up on that and it REALLY does help me relax. it helps take away stress and it just makes me feel so good.
also 1 more thing, as for lack of sleep.. it could be your bed :/ if you have an uncomfortable bed, it causes lack of sleep. try to see if you can buy a new bed.
PS: as for missing school- try to get a friend to stop by each class for a bit and gather your homework, and have them stop by your house and drop off your homework. that way you can catch up. you could also email your teachers (check your school website) or even call them and ask for online notes that they can email you.

Well i told her finnaly... i didnt have the balls to do it in person which im really kicking my self over so dont give me no stick for it.
she didnt take it well :(
i think she got attached too quickly, she came over today for the last time to collect her dvd's that she left over here. not that i didnt feel terrible before but now i feel even worse because it was a quick smile not even a hi. then a see ya and she turned and left. I wanted to talk to her but once again i was too much of a damn coward to even ask that... she seems really upset over this and i feel terrible. i cant go back on what i said because i just dont feel it for her but i still want to be good freinds because shes a great person to be around. I hate that iv made her unhappy and theres not alot i can do about it.
what do i do? i cant just forget it can i? People say i care too much for others, is this one of those things i shouldnt be involved in any more?

hey. it's normal to feel hurt and guilty. almost all the guys I know have told me that they always feel guilty for dumping a girl. Unless you're an ass and doesn't care about her feelings. but from what i have read, you're not an ass. You really care about her feelings and that's why you're feeling guilty about this. Here's what you need to do. (trust me on this because I've done this too) You need to tell her everything that's on your mind and heart. even if she wont listen, just spill everything out. If you want to be friends with her still, tell her that. But dont expect her to say "ok" right away. because if she really did like you, its not that easy for a girl to just accept being friends.
secondly, you have to forget about it. Don't dwell on it too much. Here's what i think. I think you're focused too much on making HER happy. You need to do what makes YOU happy. ok?
Try to convince her to be friends, but if she doesn't listen and doesn't want to, then don't force her. I believe in fate. if you didnt have strong feelings for her in the beginning, then it wasn't meant to be. You know when you really like someone. You get that butterfly feeling and happy,calm,nervous feeling when you're around them. but if you were around her and didnt feel any of that... then it wasn't meant to be.
dont focus on fixing this too much because soon it will take over your mind and it will just cause drama and stress. do a bunch of new stuff to take your mind of girls for a while. take up on a sport, have a guys night out, go party, join clubs. just do whatever. forget about girls and just have fun. live life like its your last day. thats my motto :)

17/f I use my treadmill everyday and I do this one work out i burn 750 calories for an hour. I do it where I go up hill. On the highest level. And it takes you up and down. My question is does anyone know if this kind of workout helps target my mid section?
running of any type will work out almost everything. It works your legs (obviously...), your abs, butt, back, arms (if you're pumping your arms while running).
if you want more workouts, let me know. you could try other stuff like swimming or situps (i have a bunch of types).
Okay...so there's this guy I'm friends with, let's call him Andre. And Ive started liking him as more than a friend for a while now. And now I like him a lot. What's a way to show my affection anonomously if I'm a 14/f with little self confidence anda big heart?
If you're 14, you don't want to go over the top. So just stick with simple stuff. Just like the other person said, try a rose and a nice card. maybe even some chocolate or a teddy bear. Its very important to give it to him in person, that shows courage and that's a turn on for a guy. Remember to smile, laugh, and be cute! Try not to act creepy and like a stalker (like putting your picture or his picture in the card, or writing something like "i think about you all the time") my friend did that... and lets just say the guy avoided her for a loong time haha.
Just be brave and if he doesn't feel the same way about you, just shake it off because he won't be worth it and it wasn't meant to be. However, if he accepts and feels the same way.. then the ball is in your court. take it from there. :)

Hello i was wondering what is the difference between cover up, foundation, and concealer. I've been told i have good skin, i dont have acne or anything. But i hate my freckles! I want to cover them up. But i dont know what to buy, and i dont want my face to break out. So in a nutshell whats the difference between the 3?

if i were you, i wouldn't cover them up. Learn to live with yourself they way you are. Who knows.. a guy or anybody for that matter might think they look really cute :) you dont want to look the same as every other girl. Don't you want to be different??
as for your question- Foundation is more liquidy and is more of a base coat. Concealer and cover up are the same thing, just 2 different words. they are used to "cover up" or "conceal" something. like a pimple, or mole, or freckles. You could use either really. if you used a foundation, it depends on how severe your freckles are. if they are barely noticeable now... they wont show up that much if you apply a foundation. but if they are pretty noticeable from a distance, the foundation will only make it fade a bit, so its not so severe. if you use concealer/coverup... it's thicker and if you use too much, your skin will look fake. and you dont want that now do you? if you only have a few freckles, you could use the concealer. just put a dot on the freckle and smudge around the outside so it blends in with your skin. but if you have a lot of them, i wouldn't recommend the concealer because again, it makes your skin look fake.
also, dont forget that if you put foundation on your skin, you should also apply some underneath your face and some on your neck, that way it blends and its not as awkward (your face 1 color, and skin another color)
