I'm an eighteen year old female, and I'm going away to college this fall. The college I'm going to is a rural college with a strong athletic bent, and not many... "geeks." I, on the other hand, am quite the geek, and I'm very into video games.
I seem to be the only person listed in my dorm room... But I'll be in a block of dorms with other kids who are high academic achievers, including a few from my old school. I've heard that video games are a great way to meet likeminded people at college, and I've been thinking about which game systems to bring with me.
My Gameboy Advance, my old buddy, is going with me no matter what. It's my favorite system and I'm a huge Pokemaniac. I've already decided t take Pokemon Leaf Green, Sapphire, Ruby, Silver, and Card GBC. I'm also bringing Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3, and Zelda. But if I find Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, which one of those two should I drop to put it in my game? And I'm also taking Tetris, Tetris Attack, and Tamagotchi... but should I replace Tamagotchi with Super Mario Land or Pokemon Red/Yellow??
Also, I have a question about which system to take.
I have two major consoles--a Playstation1 and a Gamecube. I have a Sega Genesis also, but it's too fragile to move around. I can't decide whether I should take the PSX or the GCN to my dorm.
The PSX is about six years old. Games I have for it: Spyro, Crash 3, Bust a Move 2, Megaman X4, Dance Dance Revolution Konamix, and two Nascar titles. I have two dual shock controllers and two DDR pads, one of which is glitchy.
I've had the GCN for eight months, but I got it used. I only have three titles for it--Pokemon Box, Pokemon Colosseum, and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I NEED Box to manage my Gameboy Pokemon games, but SA2 is useless for multiplayer becuase I only have one controller. (I do have a GCN-GBA link for the Pokemon games, though)
Right now, I'm planning on taking the GCN and switching if I'm unhappy. However, due to DDR and Bust a Move on my Playstation, I'm reconsidering... Which do you think I should take? Keep in mind that it's a Playstation 1, not a Playstation 2. (link)

I think you should bring your game cube, sense its newer and then switch to your playstation on like break and then keep switching untill you find which one you like better and you wanna keep at college, and the one game i would drop if i was getting kirby, i would drop one of the pokemon games.

well my ex boyfriends birthday is coming up and we decided we were gonna spend the day together after school or the following day together! weve been broken up for almost 7 months now! ya i know a really long time! but through it all weve been like best of friends and we talk all the time! and weve hung out twice this summer! well he does tell me he knows we both want to be together but it wont work right now because he is dating another girl but they arent going out cause she cant have a boyfriend! and even after being broke up hes like i love u and i always will! and just last night he said he missed us! and i still really care about him! but anyways for his bday i wanna do something really cute! i was already thinking about making him a cake and decorating it all cute and getting him a card! but i was trying to think of something else special i could do to show him how much i care! any ideas? thanks so much! you know what would be really cute, is a dinner at a nice place like, lets say applebees, i dont know if you know the place but when its your birthday at applebees they sing you a song and you get a free icecream or sumthing, if you went to a place that did sumthing like that for him, that would be cute! or you could just have it simple, your house with a cake and a few old friends over just to show you care about him. But the one thing that really shows you care is a suprise party, it doesnt have to be big and fancy, but it does show you really care!

my hair is the same way! and used many shampoos that were specified for my hair type untill i got the right one. Its okay to use 2 different shampoos too, one for thick hair and then another for volume booster! and if you want to straighten your hair er whatever, you can go to your hair dressor or whatever and then get a special straightener or what ever if you dont want the wavy!!

my best guy friend and i have been friends for 10 years. recently we went kayaking together to a private beach thing. he was being really flirty and being extra nice to me, showing off and was acting all weird. he's never acted like this before. my other best friend thinks he likes me, but I'm not sure. There's this guy from work that I like, and I'm not sure if he likes me as more than a friend, or just a friend.
I'm not sure, but I think he flirts with me. He'll steal a salt shaker from one of my tables, and won't give me it back unless I chase him around the kitchen for it. He shouts my name across the dining room, and risks getting fired for it. He talks to me a lot, and will usually even help me clear a table just to talk to me.. he does little things for me like that. If I'm carrying a tray, or something, he'll put his hand on my back and help guide me through the doors. I'm a pretty shy person, so I hate it when I talk to customers as I'm clearing a table, so usually he'll come over and talk to them for me...
But.. there's two other girls.. and they usually go up to him, and hug him. And they're pretty. And outgoing. And I don't know, I just don't think he likes me. How about you? (link)

I think he likes you! because if you are shy as u say you are and he still talks to you and stuff then maybe he doesnt care about the outgoing and pretty girls maybe hes one of those great guys that only cares what the inside of someone is rather then the outside. and thats rare. so what i would do is i would be myself because thats what he is drawn too..but i would try to be a little more outgoing to make him realize that your interested! and maybe that will lead you somewhere!

My friend Alex told me he didn't like his girlfriend Katie anymore. I asked why and he said it was 'cause he hadn't seen her all summer. I was like "well that's okay, you guys'll get back together at school." The later he told me he just didn't have feelings for her anymore (still summer). I told him he hadn't seen her and to just wait 'till school before he broke up with her or anything like that. Then later he told me he took his other friend's advice and broke up with her. At first he said Katie took it well, but then later Alex told me she IMed him saying she was gonna kick his ass at school. Now he's pissed off at ME for, in his words "not telling me clearly enough what to do." BUT I told him not to break up with her! How do I make him realize it's his own fault and not mine without just... well... accusing him of it being his fault? I RATE VERY WELL!!!! (link)

wow..i think he might just be upset over what he did and your the weakest target to him so hes taking it out on you. But that doesnt mean its the right thing to do. I think maybe you should let him cool off a little bit then talk it out with him. He is prob. just frustrated because its kinda coming back to kick him in his butt. I doubt that he will get his ass kicked. But if you cant wait untill he cools off then just explain to him that you didnt know really what the right choice and thats why you werent being clear? haha .. i would just make up some excuse like that for not being clear. But i wouldnt fight because well, you dont wanna make situations worse..believe me from experience!!

Some girl purchased sunglasses from me on ebay and she said once she received it in the mail, it had scratches all over it and it looked like it had been sat on after being used. I explained to her that they were in perfect condition when I shipped them, they have never been worn, and had absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now, shes accusing me of lying and demands a refund. I figured it either got damaged while it was in the mail or she just doesn't like it and wants her money back, but she refuses to accept it. In my description, I said all sales are final and I am not responsible for any lost or damaged items. And now she's reporting me to Ebay because she can't get a refund. (Which she knew she wouldnt be able to get when she bidded on my item.) I feel bad that her sunglasses got damaged, but I had them safely wrapped and shipped in perfect condition, so it's not my fault. Plus, she's being rude and ridiculous, so I refuse to even do anything nice for her, like bend my rules. So is there way I could get in trouble for something like that? (link)

mm thats kinda complicated, because now your getting into the rules and stuff. i dont think you can get into trouble because she cant prove that you damaged them. and even if they were damaged its not your fault. she could report you but i dont know what good that would do to her. i think she might be going over board...
