Q: Since I am in 8th grade, I have recently been thinking about high school and where I will be going, what courses I will be taking, etc. Right now I have a transfer to a school other than the one I am supposed to attend because I am a 'gifted' student and the school I was required to attend before I received my transfer did not have courses that would challenge me academically. While attending this school, I have made many friends of different levels of intellegence. One of my best friends is someone I never would've met if I hadn't attended this new school. She is a major part of my life and I don't want to lose her. She has helped me through some of the roughest times in my life thus far. Lately, we've been arguing and not getting along very well, but we still manage to stay friends. I really don't want to lose her. Right now, I get to see her quite frequently because we are at the same school, but next year, I'm afraid I won't be able to have this oppurtunity. She will be going to SHS and I will most likely have to go to LHS. I can most likely get another transfer, but this would majorly upset my dad because almost our entire family for the past four generations has gone to LHS. I was tlaking to my mom about it and she said my dad was really upset. Now I don't want my dad to be upset if I go to SHS but I don't want to lose my friend if I go to LHS. The only time I would be able to see her would be on weekends and at church events. She's been here for me for the past 2 years and I'm really sick of having to lose my best friend every couple of years. The people I would be attending school with at LHS are people I was friends with K-3rd grade, but I haven't seen them in almost 6 years and that is a really long time. I don't even know if they'd recognize me. I'm really lost and I just don't know what to do. I would really appreciate each and every one of your opinions and I will rate high even if you attempt to help me. Thank-you in advance! ~Brit

If you dont want to upset your dad you should explain to him how much this friend means to you. If he still doesnt understand then go to the school you prefer. If he doesnt get over it then talk to him and ask why going to LHS is so important to him. Maybe you'll be able to compromise, as in you go to LHS, and he has to let you see your friend every weekend no matter what, or something like that. Hope I helped!

Q: How do you put on a bandana? (I.e. how do you fold it and attach it correctly etc?)

OK. So you take the square and you would probably only need to fold it into a triangle once. Then you put it over your head and the ends should meet under your hair. Then double knot tie them and it should work! Hope I helped!

My baby rabbit just died from a heart problem :'( We knew she was gonna die because she was very ill, but we got her anyway because we wanted to give her the best life we could because we knew it would be short!! So, we got another rabbit with her. Now our baby rabbit has died, the other is soo lonley!! My mum wants another rabbit to keep her company but I'm not sure, I don't think I'm ready to have another one in her place just like that. Am I being selfish by not wanting another rabbit even though the other one is lonley? What should I do?

You're not being selfish! Of course you're not ready to have a new pet. You should think about the other rabbit though, its best friend just died! But just remember, if you do decide to get a new rabbit, its not taking your other rabbits place!

Q: im a 15 year old girl, and there is this hot senior guy that i have a big crush on. he has all the characteristcs i look for in a guy, and i have been in love with him for a long time. ive asked him to the dance, and he said yes. however, he gives me a lot of mixed signals, saying that underclassmen and senior relationships are bad, while also saying that he would love to go to the dance with me and that he would have a hella good time with me. how do i know for sure if hes interested in me or not?

Well, you should really ask him to his face if he's interested or not. Thats the only way you can be sure. Hope I helped!

Q: i need suggestions for the use of self tanner. like, my face and neck, should i do those? i mean... if i dont it will l;ook weird and if i screw up it will look weird, u know? my mom got me this spray gun thing i dono how to use it! o man, i need help right now! please. : )

You could ask your mom how to use the 'spray gun thing' and if she has no idea then maybe you could go to the store where she bought it and ask the people who work there if they know how to use it ((usually they will)). If they dont help, you could also go to a drug store and ask them if they have any self tanners that they would reccomend.

Q: Well there is the girl at my school who i like but i found out today that she dosent want to go out with me and i still have feelings for her and i just cant seem to get her outta my head even though i know she wont go out with me i am still crazy about her and i dont know what to do please help i reall cant stop thinking about her no matter what i do i just cant stop thinking about her like right now i am and i just dont know what to do.

First of all, theres nothing wrong with liking someone after they reject you. You just need time. Eventually you'll think of her as just another girl and hopefully you'll move on and start to like someone else. I talk from experience, you will get over her!

NO! It is not weird or wrong that you havent had a girlfriend yet. I havent had a boyfriend since 5th grade! But its ok, just keep on searching for a girl you know will like you and go for it! Someday you will get a girlfriend! Don't worry!

Q: I have pursued modeling for over a year now, but lately I don't really know if I want to become a model. I am 5'4" to begin with. My height discourages me a little,but I feel likes it's more than that. Am I just trying to get validation for my looks? I don't know if modeling is even my style. I like to pose and take pictures, but I don't know that I want that instability w/ trying to break into the industry and trying to get discovered. I really need help. I don't know what to do. Well, this is something you really need to think about. Of course, I can see you've already thought loads about it, but if you really love to model you should keep on doing it. Don't worry about your height, if your already modeling then its safe to say they dont care how tall you are! I personally think you should ask friends and people who know you best to help you with this decision. Good luck!

Q: There's this girl named Maria. She's a good friend of mine, and today she got in deep trouble with our Health teacher because she gave answers to someone else, and hes failing her for the marking period with a 50. She said she's tried to commit suicide before, and she's going to do it again. Should I tell somebody? Thanks. =]

You should definitely tell someone right away even if your not sure if she's serious or not. If no one does anything about it talk to her and say "Hey, its only health class!". If she doesnt listen then maybe go to another adult that you trust and know will do something about it. Maybe your school guidance councelor? Good luck!
