I am a seventeen year old female and I am in love. What is the problem with this, you may ask? I shall tell you. The man I love is 7.5 years my senior (he's 25) and he lives in another continent. He says that he loves me as well, but I'm not sure how to make this relationship work. Can a 17 year old and a 25 year old really make it? Especially with him being so far away... He says he may move here in December, however, but then what? My parents would never approve and I crave their approval like I crave oxygen. I am at a loss. I don't really know what I'm asking, quite frankly, and I won't be surprised if no one replies. I suppose I'm just looking for opinions. Thanks. (link)

im not gunna give you the answer the other smart a$$'s gave. it moght not be what you wanna here, but it's true.
long distance is obviously harder. almost all of us have had them, and we know that you have to put extra effort into it. the thing about your parent's is really understandable.
exaple- i'm a 16 year old guy, and my girl friend doesn't live far away, but her dad won't let us see each other, cuz i snuck her out of the house. your probably thinking, "what does that have to do with my question?".
it doesnt matter if the person lives over sea's, or 2 block's away. parents are parents. they're just concerned about tour well being. but if your in love, they have to accept that, and the day your 18, they'll have to live with it. it might be hard, but you have to tell them how you really feel about this guy, and that you seek their aproval, and they need to give you a chance with it. that's really all i can say. i hope my advice helped, at least a little bit.

my boyfriend of a few months says that whenever he tries to get 'close' to me... i back away, or .. idk, i just seem like i dont want to. Ill admit that i do that sometimes.. and i have no idea why.. hes so amazing and i dont want him to think i dont appreciate and like him because of my insecurities or whatever's wrong with me... i need advice on how to fix the way i do things... and not be so unafectionate.. thanks (link)

it really all depends. if you refer to him "getting close" to you, you mean physicly, and you back away, that's not really a bad thing.
for exaple-im a 16 year old guy, and i'll say, i love being close to my girlfriend. but to be honest, before i was with her (all the people i used to date) they gave me what i wanted, easily. and that's unheathy, because it makes the guy want more and more, then he winds up not liking you anymore. my current girlfriend limited her self with me(physicly), and i figured out that i truely love her.
all in all, what your doing is a good thing. if he breaks up with you for this (you backing away), then he doesnt really like you. but, if you've been going out 4 a ferw months...start lightning up a lil bit. let him hold you. dont really start...well...giving in, unless you REALLY know that he loves you, and you love him. i hope you understand what im saying.

take it from a guy's point of view (which would be me) If the guy hasent mentioned it to you, there's somethin going on. alot of the time, a 13 year y/o guy isnt focused on sex. it's a guy thing. oddly enough, 14 is the age where thats what a guy wants. Or he has thought about it, and he's not ready. normally, if a guy dosent mention it, there's 4 possible things that could be going on-
1.he's not ready for it.
2.he's scared of getting you preganate
3.he respects you and himself and thinks that it should be really special
4. he has strong christian morals going on.
#3 and 4 is the most popular in teenage guys, but like i said, when he wants it, he'll ask about it.
but as your question states, you obviously want 2 talk 2 him about it, so, just start by asking if he loves you, and if he thinks your relationship is going anywhere. dont just say, "do you want to have sex?" that might freak him out. just ask him " how would you feel/react if i said i wanted to MAKE LOVE to you?" then go from there....
as for the where you sohuld have it... there r many places...i donno...since your 13... see if you have a 16+ y/o friend that has a car. personally, 1 of my more daring (yet stupid) places was in a movie theatre. but only if it's not crowded, and no1 is within 5 rows of you...you cant take your cloths off ither. but maybe in the back of a friends car (if they dont mind), or sneak out at night (this requires money and your driver friend) and get your friend 2 get a hotel room. minors can't get the hotel themselves, so give them the money, and get them to book it for you.
