hey! im a fourteen year old "freshie" and im always up for people to ask me for their advice. im usually pretty good at it, and i try to give my honest opinion. i enjoy hanging out with my friends, jumping on my trampoline, going to the mall, shopping, going online, listening to music, etc... im a very easy going person and i have a lot of friends and im very happy. people describe me as bubbly, funny, nice to be around. people have told me that theyve never heard anyone say anything bad about me... so what does tht tell you? im obviously some what cool.. ha ha

i dont think im the best ever, i can always improve, but i do think im one of those people that can be a good friend

ok so im 13 im around 5 foot and weigh 125 am i over weight? i feel as if i am and if so how could i loose some weight? thanks

hmmm.... well you know what? to me, i dont know the whole chemical makeup deal where if youre this age, you should be between this and this weight, but i dont think thats bad

just think though, in the future, you might have problems with weight, not just you, but everyone, so you should do EVERYTHING you can in order to be healthy. drink milk, eat a banana or other fruit instead of going for cookies, something like that. little changes like that add up to make a huge difference!

#1- self esteem- the best way to boost self esteem is to be happy with everything around you. be excited for the future. think of everything as a blessing and be happy for everything you have. there are always less fortunate people, and its not like "oh im better" its more of a "see how much better you have it" always remember tht people love you and tht youre in a good spot. cherish your friends and keep staying happy. smiling is actually proven to make you happier. the happier you are, the more self esteem you have.

#2- healthy foods- things such as salads are pretty filling and very very healthy for you. its important that you keep your energy up try to keep your heart rate up. other foods to eat, some good things are vegetables/fruits. they only have natural sugars instead of added sugars. added sugars/ sweets/ etc are the things that are helping people to gain weight. take a break from that. drink juice or water instead of soda. try keeping a record of how many calories and what kinds of foods you eat. this helps you to see your income of food and makes you think "what can i do to improve?"

#3- you should go and keep your heart rate up by doing excerccises or stretches. jumping is very heart pumping,anything thts excercising/stretching is the best


I want to lose 10 pounds in about a week. I know that's very difficult to do but I'm willing to put a lot of effort into it. Any idea's on how I could do this while still eating and not going anorexic and staying healthy and/or ways to exercise? Meal/snack ideas? =( I really want to lose the weight. Please help. (link)
okay, my advice to you is that you probably should not expect to lose this much so soon. you need to know that it takes time to lose weight. eat healthily!!!!! thts the most important thing. if you eat junk food and say "ill work it off" thts not good! you need to be eating healthily!! eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day. try salad. salad is very healthy and is a good part of a healthy diet.

also, join a sport, go and burn off all that you eat. if you eat healthy and excersize or do something that pumps up your heart rate, then its very good for you

There's this guy from work, and I'm pretty sure he likes me and/or is somewhat attracted to me... we're going to go and see The Corpse Bride about two weeks from now.. and he kissed me.. I just want to know how I can make this not just a 'friends with benefits' type of thing. How do I get him to officially ask me out, or tell me his feelings for me (whatever the heck they are..)?

wow, friends with benifits, that sucks!! okay, my advice is tht you should DEFINATELY do something about this. so, what i think is that you should probably keep flirting, get u on his good side. if he kissed you, hes probably pretty into you, so its not like he has no feelings for you. just from this, it seems like he is into you in one way or another. what else can u find out about him? does he have a girlfriend? what do his ex's say? is he reliable? who knows? my advice: you should try to find out a little bit more about him

for my advice to ask him out, maybe ask him to hang out with a bunch of your/his friends one night, or even go to a dance together. dances could break the ice id bet. whatever his intentions are, i would advise you to try and bring the truth out, because waiting for someone whose not there seems like a waste of time... good luck!


one of my best friends and my sister are in the marching band. so far i've been to almost all the competitions and football games to support them, well this weekend i wont be able to go so i was think i'd get a basket as a good-luck gift for them... besides writing them a note saying good-luck and everything, what can i give them? they aren't allowed to eat/drink anything besides water in their uniforms... i think that its nice that you even go every competition, thats really nice. i think that you should think about if you were in their position... what would you want? what would make u happy? everything tht is a heartfelt gift from you they will probably appreciate. maybe you could give them good luck charms or something like that. whatever, theyll probably appreciate it. i used to be in band, and whenever i would play, having some little part of my friends with me always made me feel happier and a lot more confident. the note i tihnk is a great idea. my main idea here is: anything tht is simple is fine, and if its from the heart, itll mean a lot
