My hair is natuarally straight, and thick. shoulder length. how can i make it wavy sometimes? (link)
|
you could make it wavy in quite a few different ways.
first of all, don't use conditioner in the shower because that will make any waves fall out more quickly.
you should put in some texturizing product that you could get from the drugstore, that garnier surf stuff and aussie sprunch spray works well. after applying it, scruch dry your hair by turning your head upside down and grabbing it in your hands, scrunching it together. finish it off with some hairspray and see how that holds up.
alternatively, you could use a large barreled curling iron with gel on a low heat to achieve different effects, looser waves.

Hi, I'm doing this project for school. We need to find an apartment and a job--saying that we're 18 and unexperienced. We are to see if we can "make it" on mininum wage based on our needs and such. Anyway, my question is--How much does a one bedroom complex cost? I looked up this place..that charges $425..but is that per week or per month? I can't call them because the number is a 1-877 number and they're closed right now. Soo please help anyway that you can. Thankyou. :) (link)
|
that would be a monthly cost, as apartments usually send out monthly bills. also, a one bedroom apartment's cost will differ from area to area, i mean, it's going to be way different if you live in, say, new jersey compared to NYC. look up some apartments on the internet for your area and see if you could find a cheaper one, it is likely you will be able to.

I think I might have to be put on birthcontrol because my piriod is always so irregular. I was wondering if I just had to go to the doctor or the gyno? Thanks. =) (link)

go to your doctor, or if there is a planned parenthood around where you live you could get free birthcontrol there.

My friend's parents make her (a freshman) study non-stop. She doesn't get very good grades, but it is certainly not because of a lack of effort. She comes home from school and is forced to study and do homework from 4:00-12:00 (sometimes even until 1 or 2 a.m.). I constantly stress to her that she needs to get enough sleep and have some fun every once in a while because obviously working herself to death isn't the solution (her grades are still not that good). She has said to me numerous times that she brought a bad quiz/test grade to her mom and that her mom threw something at her. On the weekends, she is forced to study practically all day unless she is invited to go out.
Am I over-reacting or is this unhealthy? What can I do to help her? (link)

this is definitely not a good situation to begin with. recently i've been through a similar situation with my best friend, and what i did to try to make it better was i wrote a letter to her parents, who were overprotective and absolutely crazy. in this situation i don't know if that is the best idea, it is not necessarily something that the authorities could help with, so i would just be there to support her in school and whenever you get to see her. you could urge her to try to talk with her parents calmly and seriously, that could help, but if not, i'm not sure it is something that you as a friend could help with. if her parents don't respond to her talking to them, suggest that she talk to a relative about her parent's behavior.

Is there an effect when you do situps on a bed? My friend told me it wont even matter or have an effect at all... (link)
|
it will definitely have some effect, your best bet is to get a mat or a rug and do them on the floor instead. a hard surface will make it more effective. trying looking up some pilates moves that are like situps but slightly variated that will work different parts of your abs.
