So i've been talking to this guy named Greg for about 5 days or so and i think i'm starting to like him. And he likes this other girl because he talked to me about it because he needed someone to talk to and he keeps asking me if he should move on or wait and stuff like that. I dont know what to do because were just friends and i like him and i dont know if i should keep it a secret or tell him... (link)

Alright, I'm in a sticky situation because my BEST FRIEND likes me. (guy) and I really like him...but he was my friend first and I'm thinking that if I date him then it'll ruin our friendship. I've talked to him about it and he says that it won't (which on one hand I do believe him bc he's not one of those guys that tells you what you want to hear unless it's true) I love spending time with him, in fact I've been over at his house more this summer than my own i think lol. I also like the fact that he has seen ALL of my quirkey moments and still likes me for them. Like I said, I just don't want to lose my best friend. That would devastate me. What do you think that I should do??

This guy I'm friends with is cute, funny, nice, smart, always smells good, dresses well, has a six pack basically EVERYTHING I look for in a guy. Him and I are really close (he's 15 I'm 14). Well I'm considered one of the prettiest girls in school, honestly there isn't one boy I've liked that I haven't gotten. Well I really want this guy but the big problem is he likes my mom. my mom is a 30 year old single mother and shes pretty. It's like the song Stacies Mom. Well I don't know what to do. Advice me up. Are you sure he "likes her likes her"? Honestly, guys look at girls of all ages but it really doesn't mean much. What matters is if he seriously would like to "date" her. If so, then no way would it ever work between the two of you.

i was always told that going on the pill would make your period stop completely (by freinds, not doctors) and lately i've been seeing a commercial about a pill that can reduce your period to only 3 days?? now, is it true that there is such a thing as a birth control pill that can make your period stop altogether, or is that just a myth? There's nothing that stops them completely, and even the shots aren't guaranteed- you could have no periods or one long one, unpredictable spotting, etc. But if you take regular BC pills and never take the placebo week you won't have a period. In other words, take 21 pills, move on to the next pack. This knowledge comes in helpful if you're trying to "time" your period (for prom or spring break, etc.). You really SHOULD NOT try to skip all of your periods, especially without a doctor's approval. There simply aren't enough studies to determine if it's safe. Remember how everyone thought the patch was safe?

Yesterday we had this family barbeque thing and while the guys where grilling, my sister and all of our girl cousins were in my room talking...girl stuff you know. Well the subject of marriage came up and my sister and I were talking about how we'd never marry anyone unless they were good looking, older but only by a few years and make as much or more money than our dad (be super rich).
Of COURSE we were playing around. I mean honestly, lots of girls say that but when it comes down to it, we wouldn't really choose our husbands based on that.
Well, today, one of my cousins went and told the guy I'm dating what I said. She told him that the reason I went out with my ex bf for so long was because he already has a million dollars to his name and he's only 18(his dad passed away a few years ago and left it to him).
So the guy I'm seeing doesn't know what to think and just kind of blew up in my face about it. I tried to explain but he just left. Now I don't know what to do because this is such a retarded situation. How do I get him to listen to me?

I think you really need to own up to this one. Yes, it was very inconsiderate of your cousin to blab (ulterior motive, maybe?), but if you hadn't said those things, she wouldn't have anything to blab. Talk to your beau, tell him you were joking, just saying stupid things for the shock value. Point out to him that if that's what you really wanted, you wouldn't be with him in the first place. Make sure you emphasize that you DO want to be with him, and tell him WHY. Then have a nice "chat" with your blabby cousin.

I wanna wear thongs but i'm like afraid what my mom would say. not really afraid but idunno how to ask her! because i remember one time she told me like she was christmas shopping with my grandma lol and they were buying me underwear? lol yeah nd my gramdma picked up a thong [by accident] and my mom was all freaking out like its a thong!!.. i mean i'm 14 i'm going into high school. but i dunno how she'd react if i told her. and i dont know how to tell her. soo do you have any ideas??? and like i was thinking about going to the mall with my friends and buying one without her knowing but that would be a problem because my best friends dont wear them and like i don't do the wash! l0l yeahh =\ so how should i bring it up?? Appeal to her practical side- say something like "One of my friends said I should wear a thong under these pants because then you wouldn't see my panty-line." Throw in something about being self-conscious now, because of your friend's comment. If you can get her to approve of a plain one, she may warm up to the idea of the cute ones.
