Hi! I am a freshman in college and I want to loose some weight. But I am on a budget and I know the food in the cafeteria is not good for you. What would you suggest? I eat in my room a lot and try to buy healthy food. I also am going to start doing p90x. I did it this summer for a while and started seeing results but then I went away to college and strayed away from it. Is there anything else I could do to help loose weight that is safe and effective? Thank you for your time! (link)
I can give you some pointers, one thing is to exercise whenever you can, ie: take the stairs (not the elevator), don't pick the closest parking spot to the door, also, when you walk make deliberate movements and flex your buttocks as you walk (I know that sounds vulgar and rude, but your gluteus maximus is one of the largest muscles in the body, flexing this will help burn calories as you walk, (and will help tone too!) You get the idea, try to work these ideas into your everyday life and you'll start to notice the difference pretty soon.

Also, tuna is cheap, whole wheat bread is relatively inexpensive, eggs are great protein and very cheap!, parmesan is a great way to get some calcium without fat, pasta is very inexpensive, ground turkey is a great substitute for hamburger (also pretty inexpensive) and great to cook with, pasta sauces are inexpensive, and you can get some very in expensive fresh frozen veggies that you can cook with, to put in your pasta or make sides. Not sure if you're a Walmart fan, but they've got some excellent products in their Great Value line, as does Aldi's in their Fit & Active line.

This guy I was together with said he thought he had liked me and that he wanted a serious relationship, but he changed his mind and doesn't want that. Basically, he just wants to hook up and he pretty much dumped me for a slut. He said he wanted to be friends still and I want to, but he won't talk to me! He ended it 2 weeks ago and I've talked to him twice and I initiated it both times. It wasn't anything big just small talk. He's also a recovering smoker and he'll have mints when he wants a cigarettes. One day, my friend gave me some mints so I gave them to him. He said thanks but that's it. I don't get it. He'll say hi to me in school but he won't talk to me but he wants to be friends. Why is he taking no action? (link)
I can honestly tell you, you are wasting your time. Why continue to pursue something that isn't there?
Even if he can't really just come out and say it, he's telling you "he's not feeling this". You are young, there is a whole beautiful world out there for you to enjoy, let him go on his merry way. You can go and find someone who is respectful and worthy of you. Darling, let him be and go out and enjoy life, don't worry about such things, he is not worth all of the negative energy.

When I put my jeans on they fit like they should, but as the day goes on they stretch out some. I don't wash my jeans every single time i wear them, because they just don't get that dirty...is there any way besides washing & drying them to get them back to how they were before they got stretched out? (link)
It sounds to me like maybe you are between sizes, If this brand is your favorite, or maybe your favorite style, what about experimenting with buying them in a size smaller, then they might stretch to just the right size? Then when you wash them, let them dry naturally, or on a low temp to minimize shrinkage.

will i loose weight if this is what my diet consist of:

breakfast:less then half cup of oatmeal (the kind you boil, not instant), half a cup of SKIM PLUS CHOCOLATE MILK (no fat and a lot of protein but a lot of sugar and carbs..) big cup of coffee with half and half (i have half a mugs worth, then a thermas full of it then sometimes if im hungry i have two small ice coffess with half and half and splenda)

snack: 5-10 carrots

lunch: salad with grilled chicken and water. or salmon in salad or quinwa (however u spell it!) with chicken, or salad with sliced turkey breast (u get what i mean....)

(here is where the second small ice coffe comes in if im hungry)

dinner: either grilled chicken with veggies and kasha. salmon with veggies and kasha. quinwa with chicken. or tuna steak with mushrooms. (i take the left overs for lunch the next day.. hence the repeat)

then ill have a diet coke and dont eat after like 7.

and im planning on adding in tredmil or eliptical twice a week.

i have been doing this for about a week now and im wondering if its worth it to continue this. will i loose a lot... how long till it shows.... lets say i dont excerice will i still loose?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW! OR HAVE ANY ADDITONS OR WANT TO ALTER THIS IN ANY WAYYY PLEASEEEE. (link)
Your best bet to losing weight is to follow the mediterranean diet, this diet focuses on small portions of pasta or rice with a larger portion of different vegetables, along with fresh fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds, olives, avacados, etc. Then you have a medium size portion of meat, fish, poultry.

I believe if you research it on the internet you can find the more exact portion sizes if you want something more specific. This diet is also known to be very heart healthy too, because you get your fats from nuts, seeds, olives and avacados.

I personally follow this diet and just brown my meat in a skillet, spice to taste, then throw in my veggies, add sauce (saute) then mix them in with my pasta when done. (I could eat these different variations of pasta dishes every day of my life) and you can get creative with different meats, spices, sauces, mushrooms, black olives, avacados on the side, have salads...with all the trimmings...the possibilities are endless..

As long as you are exercising you will need the carbs anyway. Definitely keep the exercise up! It's very very good for you! It will speed up your metabolism and improve your cardiovascular system.

Okay I currently have a boyfriend. Juts to make that clear. Last night I hung out wit one of my guy friends josh till like really late, n I ended up passign out on his bed and I woke up wrapped in my own blanket up wit him passed out 2.he woke up and grabbed some of the covers and right then his sister walked in. His sister goes to my school and everyone in the house assumes that we did something but nothing happened at all, I just fell asleep. I feel really guilty that I stayed the night considering I do have a boyfriend and I know he would be pissed if he found out. Did I do something wrong and should I feel guilty. It was like 4 in the morning when I passed out and I left at 8. I know I should have left but since nothing happened and we really stayed away from each other until he needed covers did I do something wrong and should I feel as guilty as I do (link)
You should only feel guilty if you did more than "sleep" in that bed. I read your story and to me all I see is two people who slept in the same bed as friends. DO not let others' evil minds make you feel guilty about something that never happened. Like I said, you know what happened, do not let other people shame you with their dirty thoughts. If things were as innocent as you say, you are in the clear, and have nothing to hide. Let it go, move about your life and get back to being young and happy.

Ok, so I'm not too sure if I am pear-shaped or not. I'm 57kg and 1.7m tall.
I have a derrière and not so big hips. I'm not flat chested, I'm a B-cup. I think I have sort of broad shoulders too. And my tummy always gives me trouble, sometimes it is flat and lovely (usually before meals) and most of the time, it is a little meaty and it shows whenever I wear tight tops.

So, I need some help figuring out what exactly to wear. When I wear a tight top, (usually light), skinny jeans (light) and my classic white adidas sneakers, I just look SO ridiculous. I love my derrière, I just want to dress more appealing. I want people to notice my derrière and love it as much as I do.

As for my top half, I hate having sweat patches, and because it is summer, I tend to go for blacks, which only makes it worse. Or I put on a cardigan over a singlet. I wear push up bras when I wear singlets, I reckon it makes me look better. :) More feminine.

What other styles should I go for? Tips and suggestions would be perfect. I love jeans! And I'd wear shorts but due to my culture and insecurities, I'd rather stay away.

Thank you and I'm sorry this is so long. :) (link)
You might also experiment with beautiful wrap skirts that cinch at the smallest part of your waist (ribcage) then flow out from the waist this will give your bum nice curves yet, hide your tummy too (usually)! Experiment with what length looks best on you (usually somewhere right around the knee), you want the length to make your legs look long and lean.

Higher heels with "pointy" toes help, try to stay away from chunky/clunky shoes or square toes, or thick straps they will "cut off" your legs and make them appear short, just make sure they are comfortable.

Dark shades of jeans are a good bet. ALWAYS go with a straight or flared leg, skinny jeans will give you the "ice cream cone effect" and you want long, clean, straight, lines (make sure your jeans are long enough too, they should just touch the tops of your feet).

Don't pay so much attention to the size of a garment, pay more attention to the fit, this is the most important feature. I hope this helps! Todd the Gem Guy

I've been with my boyfriend for around two years.

The first part of our relationship was pretty bad because I had a drug problem. Around a year ago, I ODed on some prescription meds.
At the time, I was hanging out with a guy I had just met. He knew I was way out of it and took advantage of it, starting to flirt and hold my hand. I then tried to text my boyfriend saying "it's over", but accidentally sent it to the wrong number. I made out with the guy and he kind of forced me into doing more.

I went home and slept for a long time. I woke up to texts from my boyfriend, went through my sent messages, and realized what had happened. I had cheated, if not intentionally. (I had zero interest in the guy). I never told him. I know I should have.

Now, over a year later, I've finally come clean about what was going on with me during that time, but not about what happened with the guy. I'm wondering if I even should. My boyfriend will dump me, I know him.

I would never cheat, have never even been interested in another guy while with him. I haven't gone near drugs since then. I just don't know if it's worth destroying what I have for ancient history. What should I do? (link)
Hi, congratulations on getting away from the drugs and being able to stay away from them. If you know in your heart that you can forgive yourself, I say you should simply push it out of your mind. People cannot always understand the situation unless they have been there themselves, so if you think you he wouldn't understand, don't tell him. I don't like secrets either, but if you are happy together with this guy, you should treasure what you have and not risk losing it. Also, remember that the guy you were with before took advantage of you when you were vulnerable so he shares the blame also. I agree with the others, I would not tell him if I were you, enjoy your happy relationship, Todd the Gem Guy
