Expression is what I live for. I pass the time on the computer, but I enjoy doing music-related things, such as going to concerts and hiding myself under thousands of downloads. Sometimes I write reviews for Ambitious-Outsiders and make T-Shirts and draw little pictures of things. Well, this is my column, I like talking so ask me something. It will give me something to do, and who knows, maybe I will help.

hey i have a question me and this guy are going out and like his family like his parents like arent the fondest of me like she is holding something against me. see me and this other guy went to prom together and the guy im going out with now is obviously pretty bummed about this so his mom is constantly holding this against me and just wont gimmie a 2nd chance! So i plan on writing her a letter. I need some help on what to say to her. Like explaining why i did go. I went because he proved 2 me it was so important and that he wanted to go with me. Well this guys mom (my bf) is obviously protecting her "little baby boy"... well trying. but i cant tell her why i wanted cuz she'd hate me more. So please help! (link)
Mama's boy? It's not his fault, she is just overprotective. He is probably 10 billion times more bummed about it than you think he is, having to live with a mom like that. I don't really know what you should put in your letter, but just don't sound arrogant because that will put her on the defensive and that's exactly what we don't want. Just get mushy I guess and complement her beautiful, wonderful son, (I usually condone suck ups but it may work this time if you do it subtly) but at the same time, maybe ask what is it about you that she doesn't seem to like.

It would be even better if you could approach her yourself to actually speak with her, but I guess you know yourself that that would be hard for you if you've already resorted to writing a letter.

I got a small penis. Wut should i do? (link)
It doesn't matter the length, make sure it's thick enough. That's what actually matters in the end.

There's this guy named Chris and he is sooo mean to me. He always says things about me that really hurt my feelings. He never says he's kidding..he's actually being serious. Today, he said something so awful I just wanted to kick him in the pants so he could fall..but that'd be mean..so what remarks can I say to get payback? Or what can I do? Everyone likes him so I can't convince other people to leave him. (link)
Laugh at him! And sing while spinning around in circles singing the Jigglypuff song from Pokemon. You might scare him enough. ;)

ok well my freind keeps on calling me emo and i dont like because im not one yea i used to be an emo but not anymore and it is makeing me mad at him and i asked him to stop but he wont and it is getting on my nerves

what do i do?

signed,
to much to handle (link)
Ignore him. Or tell him that emo stands for emotional. Or even better, laugh and say "You just put a smile on my terribly deppressed emo face, congratulations!"

Does anyone know any websites that would have music you can listen to - without downloading? Thanks a bunch! (link)
Search for music on Windows Media player. CDzinc has many songs through there. Purevolume and MySpace are good for music too.

I need to be inspired so that I can write better poems and stories. Maybe even making my life better by being more active, physically.

My question is: Do you know some place that I can go to be inspired? Or do you know any sayings that could maybe inspire me? (link)
I am undergoing the same EXACT problem. Hence, that is why I am on this site in the first place.

But anyways, this kind of thing sucks, but writers blocks come and go, honestly. Sometimes you'll feel that you can't stop writing, and other times you want to write but nothing turns out like you planned. It's awful but it will go away.

To get "inspired", LIVE life. Really. You'll find that the smallest little happenings every day will fuel creativity.

Okay, I have acne. It's not all that bad most of the time, but there's times like now where it gets really red. I've tried dozens of concealers and foundations to cover it up but none work all that good. So, does anyone know a concealer or foundation I can buy that covers up my acne good? I'll greatly appreciate it. Thanks! (link)
Well, I have the same problem, and I recently tried my friends' foundation and concealer. It was by M.A.C. and it was AMAZING. My face looked FLAWLESS. But the only problem is, it's really expensive. For good face makeup, save up for department store products if you can because they're usually better quality. I suggest putting clear acne treatment cream, rub it in, under your makeup. So that it heals while youre out.

I've asked this question a while ago, but i need someone with experience with one or both. Pro-active or birth control for mild acne, i dont care about the birth control side affects either. Experience please! Thanks alot! (link)
Try Differin. It is a perscription medication but it works WONDERS and has no Vitamin A or dangerous stuff. Use that with ProActiv and it really works.

i'm 13/f and i'm thinking about getting contacts.

i'm a little freeked out about putting them in though. does anyone know any goos tips for putting in contact lenses?

~thanks (link)
I have had contacts since I was 13, (I'm 14), and it HIGHLY depends on the kind you get. I have high estigmatism (spelling?) and I needed hard, gas permeable ones that need cleaning and storing every day. For these, you should wear them little by little every day, increase the numbers of hours slowly. For the first few weeks, carry eye drops with you in case you feel your eyes are getting dry or there is something in them.

For putting them in: take the contact on your finger and with your other hand, pull down your bottom lid a little bit. Slowly, fit the contact right on the pupil, where you feel the center is. It takes practice, but you'll get so used to it, it will be second nature soon. I promise.

A few tips: Saliva has enzymes in it, so if you don't have eyedrops or cleanser nearby, and something gets in your eye, pop it out and swish it around your mouth a bit. (Only in desperate situations, and make sure your mouth is clean.)

Contacts are more responsibility but definetely better than glasses, well for me at least. Hope I helped.

i wna t wwhite peeps to answer this one. is it wrong to be a racist. (link)
By saying only white people can answer, it is racist in itself because you are saying that in all of history, only white people have been racist. But if you mean considering the history of white people in PARTICULAR being racist, I personally believe it is. Racism is wrong, no matter who's doing it.

so my family is not very well off. i`ve had the same shirts for way too long, and i get SO SICK of wearing them over & over, when it seems like all the other girls have a different outfit every day. i tried talking to my mom about it, but most of our money`s been going to pay hospital bills (my brother just had surgery--nothing too serious) so i dont really have time or money to buy any clothes, seeing as i dont et an allowence. i was wondering if anyone knew how to spruce up outfits with every-day things? or even just making my own clothes...like turning an old pair of jeans into skirts? anybody know how... (link)
It's a good decision to make your own clothes. We all need to start doing things ourselevs instead of letting companies tell us what we should get. BUT ANYWAYS. First, make designs of outfits you'd desire to have, then find a fabric store in the area. If you don't have a sewing kit or machine, ask for it for your birthday or a holiday. This will give you and your family time to save up if you really want to do this. Then make the clothes. I don't use the sewing machine often, so I don't exactly know how to use one, but it is possible, and economical, to do this yourself.

ok, i enjoy thinking up movies...im fourteen years old, and everytime i watch a movie, i take into perspective camera angles, acting types...im more than likely going to be a film director when i get older...but anyway.. is there anyone who knows someone or a site that i can find out more about what all i need to do with this idea, like i know writting and stuff, but i would like to find out if anyone knows anyone with contacts so maybe i can get an email address to a good director (like Ridley Scott or Randell Wallace by any chance) so that i can contact them about my idea, and maybe even make it into a movie... thanks a ton, ill post the name once there is a chace it will be made! thanks a ton! (link)
Ignore all these other hopeless people here. There is no lie in the fact that the movie business is a rigorous and sleazy one. A sophisticated art is translated to economic value and then measured as a success or failure in this way, which is pathetic.

It's hard to get into the business, but you can start by completing your scripts and getting your friends to act in movies. Film them with a video camera, and save up for a good one if you're very serious about making this work. Once you've completed this, look into local apportunities to present your work, like school film festivals, etc. Remember, the key to success is baby steps. It's cliche but everyone in the business got there somehow by going local first. It's gonna be hard, but if you're really serious, you can work at it. Hope I helped some.

Ugh...okay I HATE my clothes. I went through this whole phase recently of "I care what everyone else thinks and my opinion doesnt matter". And that includes clothes. I wear the same old crappy polo tees from hollister and stupid jeans and stupid shoes. I just look like every other boring un-unique "prep". Well, i've finally grown out of this. I now want to start dressing like my personality which is edgy, unique, and artsy. I like rock/emo/indie music if it helps? I'm looking for some fashion tips (example...stuff like wearing your belt to the side, etc.) And some stores online I could check out to help me dress more "edgy". Also, i dont have alot of money. How can i rock out a plain polo? Any hair ideas? Makeup ideas? I hate dressing "preppy" when inside im not like that. THANKS! (link)
If you don't like the way you dress, change it by thinking of what YOU like. Don't even bother about what looks 'punk' or 'edgy' or whatever. It's overrated. If you see something you like, get it. If it's too expensive, save up, make your own, or try a store like Ross, where you can find great clothes at incredibly cheap prices. It's all about what you think looks good on you personally, and what you find appealing in clothing.

Is there a site on the internet (like cdzinc.com) that provides free listening music to everyone? I don't mean one of those illegal downloading sites, just a site where you can listen to the music but not download it. (link)
Well, that site does exist. I found out about it through Windows Media. WM's also a really good music source. It doesn't have everything, but it gets all the music from the internet, so chances are you will find what you're looking for. The only problem about doing searches on WM is that you can save them to a playlist, but unless you pay and download, you can't burn them to a CD. It's good though, it's legal and safe and has lots of stuff.

Also, depends on your music tastes, you can search the artist in Google followed by 'mp3' and usually get good stuff. Mp3 blogs update regularly and those are great too. Hope I helped.
