tease them, but not too much. teasing is almost always good, so long as its over something petty. and talk. a lot of guys can be really quiet, because thats just what they do. or if not quiet, they just dont say anything often. but contribute to the conversation. its frustrating when youre talking to a guy and they dont respond. and if she tells you a story thats supposed to be funny, LAUGH. no girl likes to think that her stories are lame. if you laugh, then say something funny, she'll love you. and she'll laugh.

I wanna redo my room and I'm planning on putting a shag carpet into my room. Whats a place you can get shag carpeting at, darkish hot pink to be specific? And whats a good average price?

i dont know where to get one, but i got a dark hot pink shag rug for my room from pbteen and it was terrible. it shed all over, and i would walk to school only to find that there was pink fuzz on me. so dont get one there.

im the person who asked about the english class. this is a completely different question, but its more serious than the other.

well..today was the first day back to school. my math class on the schedule is algebra 3. when i went to algebra 3 today, i showed my teacher my transcript because thats what we have to do. she saw my previous algebra grades and they were 97's. she asked me why i wasnt in Honors Analysis instead (which is a more advanced class than algebra 3), and i said its cuz i wanted to be in algebra 3. well, she somehow got someone to call my mom to arrange a schedule change from algebra 3 to honors analysis. my mom agreed.

so when i got home from school, my mom told me and i started crying. its because last semester i took an AP class and i was completely overstressed to the point of depression, and i wanted to take a lighter load of classes this semester.

my mom wont change her mind. i dont know what to do..im very upset and emotional because i dont want to go through another long, very difficult semester.

please help. :[

Ask your mom if you can make a deal. Say that you'll try it, but if it gets too stressful, then you can drop it. Agree to stay in it for a quarter.

I was at my friend's house [19 male] with a bunch of different friends. He asked his other friend [21 male] if mammoths were during human age or before us. Brian said before us. I'm a christian, but that day i had just taken a class in history about all the animals BEFORE us [public school].
Brian said "yes." [remember i was super tired] and i was like "...are you serious?" and they are were like "haha you are so dumb" [they were just kidding] but i had nothing to say so i turned around cuz i'm shy.

You should kind of laugh it off, but at the same time insist that youre right, while laughing. And if they still say, no you're not, just laugh some more with them, and be like, i thought that was right... and giggle some more.

I need advice on getting a guy.Well, i know things take time and that i need to wait for the "One" and all, but i need an escort to a friends ball. and a date is requed. Is there anything i can do to make a guy a i like like me? i need to know wht kinda stuff guys like.
Oh and i am 14 and a female.

First, you have to see if he already likes you, or might kind-of like you(if he does, then he would go out of his way to do you a favor or to see you, or laugh at all your jokes, or something(not necessarily, but they tend to do that.)) If he does, then you should kind of play hard to get, but not too much. Then, send signals back.

If not, then you should tease him, but also play hard to get. For example, if he IMs you, maybe you shouldn't respond, or don't pick up the first time he calls. But you should keep talking to him(if that makes any sense). Talk to him 50% of the time, play hard to get 50%. This will get him thinking about you. Once he starts to act very friendly, then you can stop playing hard to get and send signals that say, I LIKE YOU.

ok. so i've lived in my house for my whole life (litterally). and now, my mom says we're moving. at first i was upset. but now i'm ok with it. my parents are divorced and my dad is trying to stop us from moving. and if he does, we don't know what's going to happen. should i confront my dad? or just let this whole thing go?

ps. if we DO move, i'll lose ALL my 6 cats and more.

It all depends on whether or not you want to move. It doesn't sound like you do. I'm sure that you dont want to lose your cats, and the home where you've spent your whole life. But think really hard before you decide. This is a decision that could change your life.

1. If you do not want to move:
Talk to both of your parents, separately at first. Explain that you do not want to move. If you will be moving very far away, say how this will hurt you. If it's still in the same town, then emphasize how this is the house that you grew up in, and it means a lot to you. Ask your mother to just think a little harder before she uproots both of your lives. Ask your father if he will talk to your mother(but ask him to be kind about it.)

2. If you do want to move:
Confront your dad. Tell him that you don't mind moving, and ask him why he's trying to stop it. Try to reason with him, unless his reasons are valid. If that's the case, well, then you can cross that bridge when you come to it.

You might think that this girl doesn't want to be your girlfriend, but that may not be true. She could be scared to make a fool out of herself. But, at the same time, it's possible that she doesn't like you, but just doesn't want to hurt you.
Here's what you have to do.
1. Call her up.
2. Say, "Listen. We need to talk."
If she says that she doesn't have time, then say that you'll be quick, but it's important.
If not, go on talking.
3. Say, "I don't know if you're not ready for a relationship, or if you just don't like me, or maybe you do. But if you don't want to be my girlfriend, just say so."
4. Make sure you sound kind, and polite. You want her to know that you really do care about her.
5. If she trys to change the subject, or say that she has to go, say, "I just need a yes or a no. Please."

Most likely, she's going to say that she doesn't want to. If she does, then you just have to move on. If she wants to be your girlfriend, then it's all good.
