Polycystic ovarian disease is caused by an imbalance in hormones. It causes irregular periods and can make it difficult to get pregnant. It also can cause acne, weight gain, diabetes (type 2), high blood pressure, thinning hair, skin tags and dark patches.
The cause is unknown, so it rally isn't preventable. It's treated by medication, diet and esercise. Weight reduction and diabetic medication improve systoms.

I believe you mean that the woman is already pregnant, for example, 3 months along.
Yes, you can misscarry, but the sex probably didn't have anything to do with the misscarriage. Unless you have a pregnancy with problems, normal sex (not rough acrobatics) doesn't usually interfere with pregnancy. A doctor once told me that the normal rate of misscarrianges is one out of every 5 pregnancies.

I injured my ankle and have been under a doctor's care from April 4 until the first week in July. It was ruled either just a really bad contusion or a small fracture. It is doing really well, but I have a question. It feels "funny" still sometimes. I am not sure I can explain it. Sometimes it feels like there is a little rubber band that isn't quite in the right place right across that little part of the bone that sticks out. I have gone back to exercising it a little and icing it when it feels that way. Will it ever feel the same again? When? (link)

My daughter sprained her ankle badly about 5 years ago. She actually had a cast and physical therapy afterwards. Her experience has been that she still has some stiffness and swelling at times in that ankle.
It has only been 3 months since your injury. I think in your case it will probably get back to normal but it may take a few years.
The tightness you feel is probably from the muscles that haven't been used while it was healing. Exercising is probably the best thing. Just don't over-do it and make it feel worse.
This is all just an educated guess, though. You may want to check with your doctor or an orthopedic nurse.

This is my first time using a full version of Paint Shop Pro. I remember once I tried a trial version of PSP7 and it had some options to activate pressure sensitivity and the like for tablet users. I can't find it on my new PSP8. ;_; I really want to use the pressure sensitivity, so could anyone tell me how to access these options, if they even still exist? That would be LOVELY. :-) (link)

I belive in God, but i was wondering, if God created us, and all the earth, how was he created and how did he create everything, what was it it all like w/o God, how can he just appear from thin air when there is no thin air, were does he appear from if there's nuthin to appear from, how did he create the universe and beyond, if there was never anything to create it from, if there was once no such thing as the universe, where did he create it from, was there sumthin before God, and if so how did he/she make stuff, where did God come from????????

I used to wonder about that, too. I thought - if God could just come from no where, then why can't the whole universe come from no where without God being involved? But they are actually both equivalent concepts.
Believing in God does take faith, and one of the best ways to build faith is to pray and look for answers, and to spend time with other people who have faith.

This is very messed up, so it's going to be hard to explain. Back in February I met a great guy. We went out, got serious, I lost my virginity, became best friends, we broke up. It's important to note that we broke up because I told him I love him. He freaked out and said he wishes he could love me but that he can't love anyone(It wasn't cold hearted, he even cried a little, which isn't normal for him).
After we broke up he briefly went out with a girl who didn't really talk much. My guess is that he was with her because he could just fuck her without any attachments. It killed me to see them together because he even admitted that he didn't care about her. So I told him that since I still felt like I loved him, I couldn't take him being with her. It was literally driving me insane. I told him to chose between me or her and he chose her. Later he broke up with her hoping that he could save his friendship with me and her.
Now I'm sleeping with him again, but we say that we're just friends. It's starting to get to me, though. I really feel in love with him. I have no desire to be with anyone else. I asked him what his feelings were toward me and he said he likes me a lot, and he feels like we can talk about anything, but it didn't really explain how he felt about me. I think he doesn't want to talk about any of that because he's going to college.
We both agreed that we're very screwed up, and care about each other a lot. Is there a way that I can figure out how much he cares about me? Should I worry about the fact that he doesn't seem interested in going out with me? It sounds sketchy when I read this, but when we went out things just got bad. Maybe we're better off this way. And it's not like he's romantically involved with anyone else. I don't know I'm just really confused. (link)

I think you should just take what he tells you as exactly how he feels. If he says he doesn't love you, and "doesn't seem interested in going out" with you, then believe him. It may be painful, and you have my sympathy.
He says he wants to be friends, but also have sex with you ("friends with benefits"). I've never thought that kind of relationship was a good idea. I really think you would be better off looking elsewhere, for someone who does really love you.
I'm sorry if this is not what you hoped to hear, but this is what I think. I've given advice like this to other people, and usually got poor ratings because of it.

Men can get women pregnant until they die, as long as nothing is wrong with them, and they are beyond puberty. Women can get pregnant until menopuase when they stop having their period. So that means that approximately from 12 years until 55, women are fertile and from approximately 12 years till 99 men are fertile. The age difference between them doesn't matter.

The system uses the ratings you have had in the last 30 days. That's why it fluctuates. You may have been rated 20 times, but if 15 are older than 30 days, your over-all score won't reflect them.

i've gotten really depressed lately. my parents relationship is (excuse my french) going to hell, and my sibs are mixed with alchohol.
my little sis is spoiled like god only knows, and i'm kinda left to life in the middle. i guess my mirror has a little play too... i'm 14, weigh 200lbs, and am 5'7. i'm starting to not eat that much anymore, and i really need some help with this. (link)

Being depressed is hard to pull out of, but some things help more than others.
Exercise definitely helps. It releases endorphines. I know it is easier said than done, but if you can find a way to exercise with other people, like classes at a city recreation center or YMCA for example, you have also kept yourself from being isolated, too. They don't have to be aerobics. Dance, swimming, etc., work just as well.
Try to find a good friend to talk to, even if the conversation isn't about your problems. Social interaction helps distract you, improve your state of mind, and reduce the sense of isolation that's common with depression.
If you start to feel suicidal, you need a professional or a doctor. If that happens, call a crisis hotline in the front of the phone book. Clinical depression can be very dangerous, but is not necessarily permanent.

I am 80 years old and have a credit card with a balance of over $7,000. I have been unable to keep up the payments. My total monthly income is $640 a month. I do not own a home, a car, or have life insurance. They have turned my account over to a collection agency who is threatenin to throw me in jail or garnish my social security check. What do I do? I have offered to pay them $25 a month, but they will not accept anything but a settlement of one payment of 50% of the balance. (link)

I believe it is illegal to garnish social security. I do know for certain there is no such thing as "debtors prison" in the US, so you can't be thrown in jail for debts. It is also illegal for collection agencies to harrass you. It sounds like you may have a disreputable collection agency that is actually going over the legal limit.
I think if you don't answer their phone calls (if you have an answering machine to screen calls) or reply to their letters they can't legally do anything to you. Don't even pay $25 a month.
You might try calling a consumer advocate group to ask questions. Start with your state and city information lines, or even crisis lines might be able to refer you somewhere. They usually have a list of phone numbers for referrals.

You can be both. There is such a thing as a Messianic Jew. There is a lot of information about Messianic Jews on the internet. They don't feel like they have given up being Jewish because they've accepted Jesus, but often people in the Jewish community feel like they are not Jewish anymore.
Maybe you can so some research on Messianic Jews (there are several types) and discuss this with your parents.

I think the goal of Catholic schools is try to teach students about their religion, the history of it, how to practice it, etc., more than to give you spirituality. So I would take advantage of just learning what they are trying to teach you.
They are also trying to keep the school environment structured, and trying to keep students from disrupting the class, or causing distress to the other students and teachers. They do this by having rules and discipline. Public school is probably a lot worse, not because they are telling students to be a certain religion, but because they have trouble enforcing discipline, and keeping the classroom calm and structured.
So school, teachers, and students are a completely different thing from believing in God. Your relationship with God is personal. If you want to, try praying for answers to your questions about God. Maybe you will find out more things, and that will help you feel better.

I have a horrible kitchen ceiling! It is made of styrofoam - I have a friend that is tearing down out buildings on their farm and said I can have the corragated tin. I am thinking about nailing the tin to my ceiling! Will that work and will it create any sort of heat/cold problem (there is a second floor)? Thank you! (link)

I have never heard of styrofoam or tin for a kitchen ceiling either. Maybe you mean "pop-corn" ceiling, instead of styrofoam.
Tin is a metal, and is fairly heavy. You will have to have some sort of heavy duty fasteners for it, like very long, large molly bolts, and have something sturdy like wood beams to fasten it too. I think it sounds like more work than is practical, and if it doesn't work, just think of all the metal falling down.
I would also think it would trap heat from cooking and keep you kitchen hotter longer. That may be ok in the winter, but not the summer.
Over-all, I don't think it sounds like a very practical idea.

Me and my b/f have been dateing for 2 years and were perfect for eachother everything is s0o perfect we sometimes fight but its over stupid stuff, and this past week hes been s0o weird, like he laughs whene I wanna talk to him serious stuff, he all of the sudden said "You forced me to have sex with you the first time" I mean I brought it up but he coulda said no. And he always takes of a couple of days to be with me but he said "I have to work ALL week". And yesterday I was crying cause I asked him why he was acting like this and he just left me on the couch to cry, while he whatched the movie, normally he woulda walked over and cuddled me, r we just growing apart or whats goin on

I would try to find interests outside of your relationship (I don't mean other guys, I mean hobbies or other friends) and give him some space. He may feel lke you are too clingy. I wouldn't try to talk about the relationship or anything, just be more independent. Trying to talk to him sounds like it is making it worse.
Either things will improve if you give him more space, or you two really may be growing apart.

I have a really good mate, but recently he's been really depressed. He's told one of our other friends what's up with him, and he tried to tell me as we were walking home but he just burst into tears and didn't have a chance to say. I'm really worried about him, and need him to tell me what's up with him in order to help him. What should I do? He sounds like he is depressed enough to need some professional help. Tell him is he can't talk to you he should call an anonomous help line. You can usually find them in the front of the phone book. I'm not sure where you live but most places have them.
He may not want to tell you because it is too traumatic. Tell him you are there if he wants to talk, but don't pressure him. Try to get him to talk to someone - a school counselor, nurse or doctor, or help line.

The worst that will happen is you won't get a good reference, and your next employer will not hire you because you didn't give a full 2 weeks notice. If you already have another confirmed job, this may not be a problem. But if you don't, employers may or may not consider it a bad sign if you walk off the job. It depends on the situation.

To file a report with the police, you usually have to have them speak to you in person. You can call the number to your local police department, not 911, and tell them what happened. Usually, they will send someone out to talk to you.
I have never heard of filing a report like this on line.
