Wow, I see no reason for the low rating, especially since I didn't say anything mean. If you obviously know where your SAT score stands, I don't know why you are asking people. Wanted to make youself feel good about yourself? Maybe you should ask for advice, seeing as this is an advice site.

My Husband and I set a limit for how much we would spend on Valentines day for each other and he went over almost double. We cannot really afford to spend the original limit set already and I am really upset with him. I don't want to ruin our valentines day, but I am not happy.
two questions, 1.how should I react when he gives me his gift. 2.Is it okay that I don't spend what he spent and keep to the limit?

I think it is fine for you to stick to the limit. Spending a lot of money isn't necessarily going to make for a great Valentine's day...it's really the thought the counts (which I know sounds cheesy, but it is the truth).
About the gift...don't hurt his feelings. Once Valetine's has passed, tell him you loved the gift but that you don't need him to spend a lot of money to make you happy. Especially since there's other things you should be spending on. I guess you two could reach an agreement, and next time you have a special occasion you can't go over the limit. If he agrees, but doesn't do it that time...you are entitled to be upset.

My mom bought this workout machine second hand and at first it looked like a walking/step machine but now I realise your arms move and your legs just slide back and forth, they don't go up and down (your knees don't bend like when you're walking)
Is this a ski machine? And are there any benefits to it cause it feels pretty pointless when I'm on it. (link)

haha that preps would like? If your boyfriend is crazy about basketball, I am sure it is because of how talented a player is. And asking for a basketball player in general is not necessarily going to work, because he may not like it. Instead, why don't you ask his mom or dad, a sibling or his friends. Make sure you ask them to keep it a secret.

I used to always have so many friends and always be going places and hanging out with people but starting this year ,it seems like everyone has boyfriends and girlfriends which keep them busy and i dont have one.
I've got alot of just friends but I don't have alot of good enough friends that would call me to hangout or anything.They are more like just friends that i would talk to online or at school or something like that.My best best friend has a boyfriend now and she barely talks to me at all anymore and so its hard that I dont have her.My other best friend thats a guy,moved away.I have this one guy friend that ive been friends with for about 3 or 4 years and im like in love with him.
We hangout sometimes ,but every time we do we end up doing something sexual and i dont know if he likes me or not.I just dont know what to do,i just feel really left out and bored and it really makes me sad because i always hear my friends say how they are going places and having fun.

Why don't you become better friends with the other people you speak to in school and online? Just start talking to them more, and then when you feel comfortable enough with them ask them if they want to hang out with you.
I don't know if you wanted advice on the guy as well, but I would say if you hang out with him try not to do anything sexual and see how he is with you the entire time you are together. It may help you figure out if he has any feelings for you.

Honestly, no one can asnwer what the norm is. It depends on the person.
I am Hispanic, and I have never been attracted to an Asian. But, on the other hand, I have a friend who is also Hispanic and she thinks Asians are so cute.
It really depends on what kind of person he is attracted to and your relationship with each other. I doubt the age thing will bother most guys.

Can anyone tell me a college that fits the following criteria? I want a school thats pretty with really nice dorms. My grades are like on average B (with some C's some A's). Well awhile ago before me and my girlfriend were going out, we were talking about sex and our sex lives and whatnot. Well i told her i had sex with 2 girls before, when i'm actually a virgin. I guess i didn't want to feel like a loser or something and she might not have believed that i was a virgin anyway. Well me and my girlfriend haven't had sex but we've fooled around quite a bit. And now that we are going out we might get into an argument or something and she'll bring up "how i had sex with two girls before." And i'll be like whatever, but i'll feel bad because i really haven't been with those girls and she doesn't know the truth. You two are dating. She may be understanding. Tell her you have to tell her something important and that you are being completely honest. If she asks why you lied...just tell her that you felt intimidated. I honestly don't see why she would get super upset. Think of it this way...at least it wasn't a lie in the other way. If you had told her you were a virgin and you really weren't, I could see how she would get very upset.
And uh coming off as a "horny sex freak"...that can be just about anyone, virgin or not.

i have been dating my borfriend for a year and 3 months and we are very happy and in love with each other. i am a senior and he is a junior. he has dreamed of going to college in north dakota and a long time. we live in texas. i applied to all texas schools and i want to be a teacher. the ND school he wants is a very good teacher school. when he becomes a freshman he wants me to transfer. i really love him and i would love to go to college with him. but its so cold, so far, and my best friend wants me to go to college with her. i know i should decide this, but if you were in my shoes would you go with him? I honestly don't know what I would do. But the fact that your best friend wants you to go to school to college shouldn't be a reason to go to a particular college. I could understand wanting to be with your boyfriend, but if you end up hating the school you may resent him. Find out more about the school and at least you know the school in North Dakota has a good teaching program so that should be a plus.
Also, he still has a while until he will be in college. Don't stress too much about it yet, who knows where he will end up until it is that time. Go to the school YOU want to go to for now because it suits your needs. If by the following year he gets in to that school, you should go if it is good for your future career and if you know you would like it there.

honestly what does it take to get into an ivy league school, and what are the chances of getting in? anyone who is attending an ivy league college - what exactly did you do to get in? what AP classes did you take and when did you start taking them? how high were your grades and SAT scores? what extracurriculars and community service did you take part in? what was your class rank?

I am not at an ivy league school, but I just wanted to show you how unpredictible admissions can be.
When I was in high school, there were two girls who applied to Harvard. Both at the top of the class. One girl was valedictorian, the other was in the top 5. They both got high SAT scores, took APs through out high school and were fairly involved (although I believe the girl in the top 5 was a little more involved than the valedictorian).
The valedictorian got rejected from Harvard (still got into an ivy league school) and the other girl is now at Harvard.
I was number 13, and I got rejected from Brown. I was a strong candidate in the other areas, but my SAT scores could have been better. There were just people out there who met all those qualifications better than I did.
Really, it depends on who they are looking for. All I can tell you is if you don't feel confident with your SAT scores, then get a tutor (if you can afford it) or make sure you buy the SAT prep books. Take AP classes as soon as you can, focus and do well in school and get involved. Don't judge it by other people because you want to look like you really enjoy your activities, not that you are just doing it or show.

You do hear the professor speak if it is a big lecture hall. It's not like high school, people tend to take college more seriously (you are paying for it). And if you can't hear, people will let the professor know.
If you aren't allowed to bring a recorder (which I doubt will be a problem), you can always bring your lap top to take notes. You will get more of what the professor is saying.
Honestly, don't be scared. As long as you do pay attention and read you should be fine. Colleges usually have places where you could go so that you could get help too.

There's no real guide lines. Just be honest, talk to each other, try not to get upset at dumb things, take each other into consideration, know where to draw the line (which can apply to many things...do you spend too much time together, how far are you willing to go).

Hi my names carissa. ok this is sort of a typical advice question...DOES HE LIKE ME OR NOT. But i think mine might be a little bit different. Well you didn't really provide much information. You two are friends and he flirts with you, but he's changed and sort of stuck up now.
All I can advise you to do is see how hanging out with him pans out. I guess all you can do is give him some obvious signs and see if he responds (or ask him straight out, but that can be a very difficult option).

My boyfriend is turning 22 this Friday. I'm trying to plan something fun for us to do. Mind you, he's a laid back guy. At first, he wanted to go bowling and out to dinner, which was perfect, but then he got really negative, like he does often, and decided it would be too busy for a Friday night. I've suggested going to the movies, but we're doing that on Saturday anyway. I also suggested doing something new like going to a club to let loose but he wouldn't do that either.
So give me some suggestions? Really anything. I'm just trying to get lots of ideas to toss at him so we don't end up sitting at home on his birthday.

Well if he is a laid-back guy, maybe spending his birthday at home with you is what would suit him best. If you do, you should plan an entire time that you devote to him (from breakfast to dinner). You could make him breakfast, bake him cupcakes (or cookies), and then make him dinner.
If you are dying to take him out for his birthday (and I don't know where you live...so they may not be great ideas) you could
-go to a comedy club
-roller rink
-the beach (I live in Florida...so it's hardly ever cold..may not help you much)

Honestly, it's hard to get a guy to randomly talk to you. If you want him to talk to you...make the first move! Don't freak out and treat him like he is a normal guy. And hey if you know his brother...ask him for some tips on what to talk about, or if all else fails ask him what you could do.

I go to a private school in Orange County, Ca. I've lived in socal my whole life, but I feel like I need a new change in my wardrobe leaning away from A&F, aero, delias, nordstroms, f21, ae, etc. There are these girls at my school (seniors) who dress really fashionably like they do on The Hills. I wonder where they shop at because I have been from San Diego to Los Angeles and haven't found where they shop at. But does anyone know of really cute boutiques/clothing stores where it resembles what the girls where on The Hills, Newport Harbour, etc. Please don't ask me to ask the girls where they got their clothes because they don't say.
