Is it possible to get a payday loan direct from the lending company instead of going to a check cashing company? Would it be cheaper/better to do so? Avoid payday loans entirely! The interest rates are insane.

Look into small loan programs from local banks and credit unions. They offer much better rates.


hi! my grandma had bone problems and i don't know how to spell what she had but you probably know what i mean right? in school they were talking about the same thing in health class and she said that if we ate calcium rich foods we would not get that disiease. great but how much milk and cheese can you eat?! are there any other foods that have calcium but maybe don't make you so fat? There are actually quite a few non dairy foods with calcium! Here\'s a few to start you off, but if you google it, you\'ll find quite a few more!

I have to fly out for a funeral and the airlines no longer offer a bereavement rate. :( I don't have much money, but I have to say goodbye. Is there a way to find a cheaper flight with short notice? Check sites like Kayak for a wider selection of rates! Also, consider looking into trains and buses; they may be less expensive.

What is the best place to find puppies for adoption? We want our puppies to have the best chance of being adopted and not put down so we don't want to take them to a shelter but we don't know where else to take them and we can't keep them! Help! (link)
Search for local rescue groups and no kill shelters! Every area has some. Often they do weekend adoptions at local pet stores, and will have lots of info for you.

You can also try a website like Petfinder! They have private adoptions in addition to shelter listings, and quite a few people look through it.

okay well my cats around 6/7 years old.
i think around a year ago we started get stray cats, so my family would catch them, fix them so they wouldn't have babies, then release them. anyways, my cat, would always sit by the window, watching them. when we feed her in the morning she runs straight back to the window, she doesn't even bother to eat much anymore. shes gotten very bad skin now, and constantly over licks herself. her skin would start breaking out from stress of other cats. [shes an indoor cat] we went to the vet to see about it, awhile ago and they gave us medicine but we couldn't give it to her correctly because we had to basically squirt it in her mouth and she refused it. we dont have the money to see the vet anymore, my dad lost his job and were having a hard time. i dont know what to do, my cats like killing herself =/ & i cant get her away from the window, she usually scratches me. First of all, get an elizabethan collar if you can, so that she won't lick herself raw anymore. You will have to bathe her though, as she won't be able to bathe herself.

You may not like it, but you will probably have to forcibly give your cat her medicine. Wrap her in a towel so that she cannot struggle and hurt herself, then use a syringe to squirt it into her mouth, near the back of her tongue.

If your cat stays by the window too much, as Amarand said, you may need to keep her in a windowless room until she gets better.

Also, try giving her wet food, slightly warmed up so that it smells more appetizing. Mix a little garlic into it if you can; it's a natural antibiotic and pets love the taste.

If they aren't working from programs, try the applications menu. You may need to download a secondary program like Mirage OS in order to play the games though.

Try swimming. Like running, it's a full body workout, but it's much easier on you. But remember, don't just goof off in the pool. Swim laps.

Yes!!! You are almost certainly burning more than you take in. Your body needs at least 1000 calories for normal function, and more if you are exercising. You should be eating three times that amount.


So my school play is soon. We had to buy shirts and pants and stuff for our costumes and someone decorated them. Well, the person who decorated mine apparently sewed something on the color, so it no longer stretches-meaning I can't get it over my head. And when I finally did get it over my head, my locket from my father broke. I was already upset about this. What else.. the stuff on the side scrapes my arms and is quite irritating! And so I asked a few supervisors of the show what I should do, and they said I couldn't do anything about it?!

We aren't allowed to take them home either! My friend had asked but one of the supervisors just ended up yelling at her that it wasn't allowed because they can't trust that anyone will bring it back! No exceptions whatsoever.

Please don't say its fine I will only have to wear it once or anything. I now have scrapes all the way up the side of both my arms, my necklace broke from getting caught in the super tight non stretchy collar (like the collor was so tight when I put it on that the locket went up with it while it was still around my neck and the thing snapped). Today was my first day of track. After running almost two miles...I couldn't go any farther. My throat began to close up, my chest felt like it was tightening, i could barely breathe & when i could...it hurt more than anything. Well, I left earlier & my mom took me to the allergist, who said I had Bronchial spasms. They said what I had was an asthma attack, though, and gave me an inhaler. That moment in track earlier was the scariest moment I have ever had in my life, so I'm not sure what to do. Even though they gave me an inhaler, that's just for the coughing afterwards I think. I don't know, but should I continue track or not? (link)
If you have athletic related asthma, you shouldn't run track unless you have a preventative inhaler and/or medicine. If track is something you enjoy, ask your doctor about them. You'll have to take it daily, but it is better than asthma attacks.

The inhaler they gave you is likely a rescue inhaler, for use when you are actually having an asthma attack,


ive noticed that i look fatter. like usually i hold my stomach in since ive been doing that since i was little (my mom would tell me to) and i wasnt really that fat or anything but i guess there was a little weight. well now its pretty normal, especially in public places for me to do it. but like when im sitting especialy at school it gets a little uncomfortable to do that.. and ive been gaining wait for a while, like i already got my period like a week after my 10th birthday so idk if its just puberty? or im just eating too much. anyways, i wanna get rid of this fat so i can actually feel totally comfortable with myself and not worry about like "do i look fat?" im not gonna go anorexic or anything, too. um like and ive noticed that like from the sides my thighs dont look that big, i guess my butt does but thats because im black.. idk how to work off that weight either. its not THAT much but sometimes my pants wont fit because of it, and also because my hips i guess are wide like face forward, also my thighs. it makes me look kinda really fat. i just might be that way, and like when i sit down you really see how fat i am, .. its kinda weird. like my friends can pick me up and stuff so i must not weigh like a ton. but i know im deff more than 150 and im only like 5'3 and 13 years old. sometimes im a little selfconcious, especially since its almost swimsuit season and i really really wanna work off this weight. i might do soccer and volleyball blah blah and sports but i also might not, so im not gonna put my all in that. even so, like i do basketball now for 2 days a week, and that hasnt really affected anything. how can i stay away from like overeating? i guess that may be my problem.. how may meals a day do i need and etc? i mean im not really unhealthy i think.. but im still gaining weight so obviously those like fruits and etc havent been helping much. ughh i really wanna lose weight and not be like obese because i really dont look that obese.. i just look kinda overweight i guess but i have no rolls in my stomach or anything.. well when i hold my stomach in. otherwise.. i guess a little. i really wanna work off this weight too because my parents keep pestering me whenever i eat and they say im getting like fat and it really pisses me off because its basically my business and i dont want them to tell me when i already know... ugh. well help help help and thankyou thankyou thankyou!! :) (link)

The most important thing is, does your weight bother you? If it doesn't, then all you have to do is go and buy clothes that fit. You can look fabulous in any size and weight; it just takes a little more effort.

Swimsuit-wise, just buy a one-piece or a tankini! They can look just as good as a bikini, and you don't have to worry about it falling off, lol.

Eating? Anywhere from 3 larger to 6 smaller meals a day. Eating many small meals a day can help to boost your metabolism and make you lose weight faster.


omg omg omg i have to hand in some paper so i can be in a teen arts festival thingy and i have no idea what song to sing!!! help? i cant sing that high, im black, i guess i can sing low but not like super low. im usually like a soprano and like i can sing high i guess but not like mariah carey in those high high notes.. hard to explain but i need an easy really good song to sing that will leave the crowd like "woah baby". it cant be "fallin" by alicia keys because i cant sing that song.. i cant sing it the way she does so it kinda makes it weirdish, hah. and i cant like put how i sing on youtube or whatever because i lost my camera's connection cable thingy and theres no time to get another now! well thankyou for your help and please put more than one and why you chose it and any other tips for singing and tips for always like having a good singing voice.. because sometimes mine sounds crappy and others it doesnt. especially at school sometimes im kinda tense (till gym and lunch) and then i have chorus and im still feeling kinda tense. even after those warmups.. i just feel that way.. how can i totally relax? Not sure about a song idea, as I usually listen to techno or J-rock, but I do have a few tips to help you with relaxing your voice.

The best thing I can recommend is hot tea with honey and lemon. It's very soothing to your throat, and the steam helps to clear your breathing passages so that you can sing better.

As for songs, hmm... Try something of a swing/big band variety, like Bi Mir Bist Du Schon? It's always a fun change of pace, and can leave quite the impression. Fly Me to the Moon is also a pretty song.


I am a 17 year old female. For about the past 2 years (maybe longer) I have always wished I was skinnier. I KNOW I am not fat. I am average for my age and height, probably even on the smaller side. However, everyday, if I have nothing else to occupy my mind, I automatically begin to think about food, what I shouldn't eat, and how I want to loose a little weight. Not once in these few years have I ever attempted to do serious harm to my body...I have absolutley no will power. Even if I tried harder then anything in the world, I would not be able to go on any serious diet (I cave in too eaisly). Yes, I have tried cutting down a little, exercising, etc., but it has never gotten any where near any kind of eating disorder. The problem is, I can't get the THOUGHT about not eating out of my mind. It seems like in the morning and all throughout the school day I plan on how to loose weight, but after school ends, I just eat like any normal girl. The thing that is bugging me is that there hasn't been one day in the past 2 or 3 years, not one single day, where I haven't obsessed about loosing weight in my mind. I don't want to hurt myself and my body, and I don't believe I am in any danger of doing so, however I just do not know how to get these thoughts out of my mind. I just want to stop thinking ahout body image...I feel abnornmal because when I have nothing else on my mind I obsess over it. How can I get rid of these thoughts? I just need some advice on how to stop obsessing over loosing weight, even though I have never actually attempted to starve myself or throw up my food. Thank You! (link)
It sounds like you need a confidence boost. What I think you should do is go to the mall, with friends you can trust in things like this, and try on a ton of clothing you like. It seems frivolous, but this can help you prove to yourself that you look good as you are. Then, when you begin to worry too much about your weight, just remember how great you can look!

Learning to cook might also help your food issues. That way, you can know you are eating healthy, and it can be something you enjoy rather than dread.

Try keeping a journal. Write down all of the negative thoughts you had during the day. Then, at the end of the day, write down a statement to counteract that thought. It might take a while, but forcing yourself to think more positively will eventually help change your perspective.

Also, you might just need to distract yourself. Find something else to occupy your mind during idle moments. Try writing, or drawing, something creative to make you think of other things.

I JUST started high school this year, and am amazed at the amount of work that is given on a day-to-day basis. I mean, seriously. 6 classes, each class has its own assignments, homework, classowork, etc. It's VERY hard to keep up.

All through middle school, I've been a straight A student. But now in High school, I've noticed that it's getting harder and harder to get perfect grades.


Now, my problem: I stress my self way too much over school. If there is an assignment due the next day, I won't go to sleep unless I have finished it...even if it means staying up until 5 A.M. I'll stay up until 6:00 A.M if I have to...JUST to get those A's. Same thing with studying.....I can NEVER just say "Screw it...I'll fail ...whatever"...NO...I'm too scared to do that. But, unfortunately, this method of mine is ruining me...I get NO sleep, my nutrition is low, my excercise levels are declining, and I'm constintantly studying. I even faint sometimes as a result of this (I have fainted in the past week...) I have incredible amounts of anxiety and panic attacks....even if it's the TINIEST thing.


I don't know how long I can keep this up. :( I know it's good for my future...and I know getting good grades is important...but to what extent? Is driving myself nuts REALLY worth it? Because I see some people get off with C's and B's and they're fine. This brings me to another issue: parents. My parents are fine with B's. (even though they want me to get A's)...they don't push me...or make me get A's. In fact, they tell me NOT to stress myself too much and that it's okay with them for me not to strive to be the best. Problem is: I WANT to be....but I want to get a chance to be a normal teenager once in a while and get a perfect amount of sleep.

I know there are people here with a lot of experience...Can you please tell me what to "do"? :(

You don't have to work so hard for your A's!

First of all, don't procrastinate. Do a little work for, say, an hour or two a day. Study a little, work on projects, etc. This will significantly lighten your load.

Next, you need to find your limits. Figure out the minimum effort required to maintain the grades you want, and do slightly above that. No need to overwork yourself, but you shouldn't slack off entirely.

Anyway, I hope this might help a little bit. And if you ever need help studying or anything, just drop me a line! As a recent High School grad, I'd be happy to lend a hand. ^^


Okay so im on this major calorie cut diet.
And i drink water all day long
but i try not to eat past 7 but i get these cravings for something other than WATER! so i drink like 1 0r 2 DIET cokes, is that okay??
or is it gonna ruin my diet.

Drinking water is good. Major Calorie cuts are not.

A good idea when losing weight is to cut about 500 calories from your usual diet, meaning you should eat about 1500-1800 calories a day. Don't go below that number. And eat more if you exercise.

Diet sodas have Aspartame, which can be very bad for you. Try drinking 100% fruit juices or milk when you need variety. They have calories you need, and they are also very nutritious.


I was always against abortion. I am 16 years old and pregnant. I have a boyfriend for 5 monghs now and we never had sex. The problem is that on a night out with a friend of mine "girl" I got raped. Somebody must have sleeped me that ruffy cause I do not remember anything and woke up the next day feeling like my head is going to explode. That happen over 45 days ago.
My parents now, we told them its my boyfriends and it is my fault cuase my parents have been through a lot and I really dont want them to know. I consider myself mature enough to battle with my own problems and mistakes. I consider it to be my fault since I was not carefull enough. Plus, them knowing would change a lot.
I definately do not want to keep that baby, I definately am not ready to become a mother especially on such an occasion and already too many people know. My parents want me to keep it even though we are not wealthy at all.
I know that after 3 months you can now longer have an abortion so I am running out of time. How do I convince my parents to let me do it? And...if they dont allow me to, I ll do it myself. What could change then? How will I be able to make them, accept my choice. My boyfriend has been really understanding with the hole situation and really helpfull. He is the one willing to give the money for such an...act.
I am ready to do anything it takes not to have that baby, If I have to punch myself in the stomach, I ll do it.
People from my church also know. They will never take me back after such a thing. My boyfriend sais he could move far away with me were we will work and go to school at the same time. (link)
I can see your dilemma.

In the case of a rape, I'm sure your parents and church would understand, or at the very least would be more supportive. You have to tell them. I sincerely doubt they would blame you for such a terrible thing happening to you.

Have you considered adoption? I know it must be very difficult for you, but it is another option. You aren't ready to be a mother yet, you said. But maybe someone else is, who can take care of this baby. It might be a good option to reconcile the situation with your church and your parents.

But either way, it is ultimately your decision.


okay ... well i have like almost curly hair... i mean its pretty much curly.. i mean i would love to just like let it air dry and wear it to school like curly.. but there is 1 bad thing POOF!!! my hair is soooo poofy i mean its horribley bad..it poofs out like right when it drys. is there anythign i can to do my hair not to make it have little to no poof... i mean and i wanna make sure it works so if u have experience with it that'll be great (link)
Basically, if you have poofy hair (like I do), you need to use hair products to tame it. Just put in mousse when it is when, and use a little smoothing/finishing creme for touch ups later on. ^^ Takes like five minutes. And if you use curly hair mousses and gels, it will add more bounce to those wonderful curls. ^^
