google docs issue

hello there, I am experiencing an issue with google docs that I couldn't find the answer to through internet searching and so I was hoping some more tech savvy people could help me.

Whenever I delete a file, it keeps showing back up as a blank one with the same title and "opened" written underneath it. I attempted to empty my trash, but it keeps showing up and if I try to delete it again it shows up soon after. If I click on these docs, it tells me that it has been deleted and therefore cannot be opened. It's really annoying and I was wondering how to get rid of it.
