I bite the inside of my mouth!?

Question Posted Thursday April 17 2014, 4:36 pm

I can't control it, when I'm bored I do it, when I'm busy I do It but mainly when I'm stressed. I've tried everything to help me stop, I tried chewing gum all the time and I tried wearing a retainer but nothing helps!
The inside of my mouth is horrible it's all swollen and chewed and it's always sore, I can't help myself I guess it feels nice on my teeth or something I just want to break this habit, I've been trying for ages.

I do the same exact thing! I hardly ever notice it, i'm doing it as i type this. Someone gave me advice to just really try and pay attention to what i'm doing. they say it takes doing something 7 times to make it a habit, so it sort of make sense to NOT do something ( or to stop your self from doing something) 7 times to break a habit. I found that if I'm chewing sunflower seeds it helps me
