Does monogamy run in families? my bf and have been dating for 18 months so far and we've been so happy together.. but im scared of him cheating in the future even though i know he woudn't its just one of my fears. anyways, i am 17 and he is 19 and i hope to marry him someday. i can totally picture myself with him and happy!
but i'm scared that he's not going to stay with one girl. he mentions he wants to marry me to sometimes but we don't want to jinx it do we don't talk about it too much.
his parents, like us, met in highschool (i'm still in highschool and he's in college now) and they were together for 7 or 8 years until they got married. if his father is monogamous, which he is because he's only ever been with his mom, do you think it would be likely that my boyfriend monogamous too? Because I read somewhere that monogamy runs in families.Could it be in his blood to be monogamous and do you think he's capable of that ?

Monogamy isn't a genetic trait. Everyone is capable of cheating. It just really depends on that person. If you do love him as much as you say you do, and he loves you same way, all you can do is trust him. Without trust, there cannot be good love. Trust is one of the strongest pillars in a relationship, but it can also be weak. Trust his love and believe he won't see another woman. Without trust, there is no love. ]
