I'm going to answer your question with a question: what the fuck kind of question is that?
here's how that whole thing works: a person's intelligence is measured using something called an "Intelligence Quotient", which is measured through an intense battery of tests that define your brain's problem solving ability. your ability is then compared to a chart of averages for each age group. the formula is as follows: Say I did this test at age 18, and my problem solving ability was on-par with the average 25 year-old. so you divide 25 by 18, and you get 1.3888888889. well, you round it up to 1.39, and then multiply that number by 100. My Intelligence Quotient in this Hypothetical test, is 139 (in real life, its actually 134).
If you're average in your age group, then your IQ is 100. The Average IQ bracket runs from 91 to 110. 111-130 is exceptional, 131-139 is borderline genius, and anything over 140 is genius.
On the other hand, below an IQ of 90, is just varying degrees of retarded. I never paid attention to the grades of retardation because thinking about it is saddening.
I had a girlfriend a while back, she was a good girl with a big heart, but sometimes she would just act like an idiot. at the time, I just figured it was because she was a Naive young woman. Well, we're not together anymore, not because I couldn't put up with her occasional bouts of absent mindedness, but because she went over-the-top stupid and cheated on me when I was in Afghanistan. Putting the unpleasant BS of that affair aside, I stayed friends with her family, and in a strange moment while helping with some yardwork, they let me in on the family's "dirty little secret". Apparently, she was pretty slow in school, and had some troubles in childhood, so they had her tested. turns out she was mildly retarded.
Hell, I wouldn't have known she was if they hadn't told me, and there's plenty of folks around that lead normal lives despite the fact that they are by definition, retarded.
so, unless you've been tested by a psychiatrist using a battery of problem-solving questions over the course of an entire day, then nobody has proof to confirm or deny your mental capabilities. If some Jackass in your life is calling you a retard, brush him off, there's a good chance that you'll be his boss in 20 years. People who do such things tend to incur the wrath of Karma.
