what is the supplemental recovery disc?

Question Posted Thursday December 22 2011, 10:08 am

what is the supplemental recovery disc?

i've rebooted my computer before with just the system recovery discs, never having to use the supplemental one before.

i'm missing disc one of my recovery discs, so that's why i was wondering if this would just work, and maybe its just not the full reboot..?

thanks.

i have a compaq computer if that matters.

Rena-Chan answered Tuesday December 27 2011, 11:05 am:
The Supplemental Disk is for certain models which have more software, or a more complex setup.
If your system didn't ask for the disk previously, or ask for more software, then you more likely do not need it.
