Sims3 tells me to enter disc and try again.

My Sim3 has been acting up lately. every time i go to play it, it tells me to enter disc and try again.i do have the disc in and my disc reader in my computer is fine.. does anyone know whats going on or how to help my situation?

I have this game, and I'll ask a few things. Do you have any expansion packs? The way sims works is; whichever disk you installed last, you use that disk to run the game. Are you using the main game disk only? That should work, only if you have the main sims 3 game, and no expansions. Hopefully that will help you out. If that is not the problem, then you need to post more info so we can solve the issue.
