The guy I really like started to talk to me again not sure what this means?
So I guess I'll explain the relationship between me and the guy I'm talking about we basically started as friends and became more we have a lot of physical chemistry and whatever we used to sort of date he would take me to the pizzeria he would alway pay and act like a real gentleman and whatever I never kissed him because we weren't an actual couple and I just can't kiss someone unless we are. Anyways we ended whatever we were last spring 09 because of some other girl and we also got back together last fall and we were really close and def had plans to be together but somehow it didn't work out and he just stopped talking to me for a few months I think it became stressful because we live 30 min away it was hard to keep it going plus theres other girls you know but I know he cares about me anyway on monday he emailed me telling me he wants to talk then later that night IMed me he was telling me he wants to catch up and that he saves all of the messages from facebook somehow he still has fb messages from 2008 though I thought they get deleted after sometime he still has them and told me he was reading them and kept bringing it up asked about my family well I was thinking we might get back together but the thing is I really don't want it to be on and off i want it to really work you know anyway he was online tuesday and i was for a lil and he never imed me and i never imed him because i rather wait for him to IM me because i think til I know what he wants I don't feel comfortable IMing him so I'm wonder why would he save old messages from me saying he keeps them to make him smile or something I don;t understand and what does he mean by us catching up we never hooked up so I don't think its for that and what should I do to keep his interest I really like this guy? Does this guy like me?

well, if you are really good friends,and have never really got together he may want to catch up as you were his friend, i have a friend thats a guy we are close but we dont like each other in that way,
he may have kept the emails to remind him of you and the times you had together he may want to meet up with you and see how you are. and he may not have IMed you as he may have felt the same way as you did and wanted to wait and see if you Imed him first,
you could try talking to him (like face to face) and flirt with him a bit and look for hints that he likes you, and if you think he likes you back then you should ask him out.
if you cant tell if he likes you or not, then talk to him about the way you feel, he should understand, and who knows you may go out (Properly)its worth a try,
