sims 2 castaway stories

whenever i try to download the sims 2 castaway stories it says that windows hasn't approved of something. how do i get windows to do whatever test they need to do so i can download it?

Additional info, added Saturday April 10 2010, 2:49 pm:
a box pops up that says:
"The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.

This software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator."

then another box pops up saying:
"Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 9.0c or higher to be installed on your system. You can download the latest version of DirectX here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx"

but when i download the directx thing then try to download the game again the same thing happens..

Hey, in the error msg you can see a more info button , it would say something like what you wanna install is invalid. Just press ok this should install your game successfully and you should get a msg saying that. You have upgraded your DirectX rt? hope this helps!
