hitler_the_goat answered Sunday January 31 2010, 12:18 pm: getting a tattoo is a bit personal, my left sleeve has my unit motto in latin, but I'm guessing you're not going for that angle. hmm... here's a good one that I heard the other day: "life wouldn't give you dreams without the means to fulfill them" its kind of long, but you could fit that on your arm if you broke it into two parts of a scroll. there's always the option of a foreign, or dead language... mine are all in latin and old greek... it looks good, even if it says something offensive. just remember that if your translation is wrong.... you'll be a laughingstalk in more educated circles. best thing to do, is get a joke or something translated into latin, tell everybody it means something about life, hope, whatever, and the joke's on them. my buddy had "I did your mom" in japanese across his shoulders... bottom line: as long as you can live with it for the rest of your life, its good... so have fun.
