how would i know when my period is coming

okay, so i missed my period when i was supposed to have it around december 29 - january 4 the reason why i say between those days, are because i have irregular periods.. it never sticks to a specific date. so i was wondering if i was pregnant, so i took two tests during the time i was supposed to recieve my period and a couple of days after i missed it. they both came out negative. so then i had sex a week later, we had protected sex and most likely nothing happened. but i took plan b 34 hours after the sex just in case if anything got in me. so since i skipped my last period, how am i supposed to know if my period is going to come since plan b's side effects did say it may make my period come a week sooner or later. and i asked the nurse and she said skipping periods are normal because she sometimes skips two months and then she starts her period. so how exactly am i supposed to know when it's supposed to come?

Well it mainly depends if you have protected sex all the time because you mentioned thinking you were pregnant, so you must have had sex before. If your period is still irregular, you shouldn't worry until you haven't gotten it for about 3-4 months. Personally, about a day before mine I get lower backaches, small cramps and feel exhausted. It's different for everyone though. There isn't a real way to tell

Honestly, i think with irregular peridos, its not able to be tracked as to when your next start date is. I also have irregualr periods. I even went a year with out one and then started then went 3 months then started then started again the next month. But i also went and see the doctor for the not having a period for a year thang and he said that it could be stress related. But i also had a hyperthiroid condition that messed up mine apparently...idk lol.
